  1. We know what the Left wants with open borders: Voters, paid for by US Taxpayers.

However, what would be the incentive for Joe and the Democrats to bow down to China and other countries? Distribution of US Taxpayer funds to Leftist causes and their power structure globally? As far as Iran is concerned, why bend the knee to them? Aren’t they more Conservative minded and religious? Is it their emigrants the Left wants?

Where are the Republicans? Other than being ridden like a two-bit hoe by Radical Leftists and sympathetic media that is? At some point, one has to question the competence and or focus of the Republicans. The Left have been the Left for a long time. What ever happened to the ability to anticipate their moves?

Republicans are seemingly being “Darwined” out. It it not hard to see why or to feel too bad for their demise. If I weren’t concerned for the future of Democracy in the United States, I would say “Good riddance”. After all, I am long term registered Democrat who supported Trump. I supported Trump because I felt disenfranchised during the Obama Administration for being a law abiding productive White straight male. If Biden follows the same path as Obama did, our system is probably headed towards collapse. Collapse of the United States is certainly a goal of some of our rivals, but how would that benefit the incoming administration?

The Democrats have the Presidency, the House, and effective control of the Senate. Whatever happens going forward is fully under their leadership. Media censorship or not, people will know what is going on. In fact, media censorship effectively proves to us which side is good and which side is bad. Perhaps the way for us to become united is through a common enemy who kills the opportunities and way of life people have come to expect living in the United States.

While the Biden Administration may have the Radical Left whispering in their ears, I do believe they have enough sense to avoid letting the Radical Left dictate policy. We will see, but at least for now, I will give the Biden Administration the benefit of the doubt.

  3. Just posting a screenshot of this poll before Biden’s Inauguration speech. I hope and expect Biden gives an unqualified “Unity” speech that addresses our concerns about Covid and the economy.

  4. I’ve read the Biden Administration is planning to ban fracking. While such action is understandable from an environmental aspect, I’m concerned about the effect on other industries at a time when the pandemic has already created stress in our economy.

Sectors affected include basic materials such as iron and chemicals, industrials such as the manufacture of pipes and trucks, business services including transportation and travel related industries, and consumer discretionary, as oil field workers tend to be highly paid. Further, various taxes on fracking creates Federal, state, and local revenues that pay for government bought wages, goods, and services.

On a more subjective level, business confidence could be adversely affected even in unrelated industries if business leaders become concerned about the Biden Administration not considering the business and economic impacts of policy decisions. The employees who loss their jobs in fracking and in directly and indirectly related industries, will be a part of declining consumer confidence and can erode business confidence, possibly encouraging conservative hiring and spending decisions, and leading to economic stagnation or worse.

I believe the answer for the Biden Administration making informed decisions is having knowledgeable and credible people in their Cabinet. Hopefully The Biden Administration either reverses their course on fracking or provides a solid alternative that addresses the dislocations caused by ending fracking in the United States.

There could be political repercussions should the US later import oil and other energy products from countries, such as Canada, that actively engage in fracking.

    Topline

Hard-core supporters of President Trump, including his son, Donald Trump Jr., are suggesting Biden has already flip-flopped on a major campaign promise that he would not impose a nationwide ban on fracking—and here's why that’s false.

    Key Facts

A story claiming Biden will ban fracking was published by conservative news site Townhall, which simply explained that Biden would—as he said he would during his campaign—deny permits for new fracking on federal land.

It’s an important difference because the majority of fracking takes place on private land, with only 12% of U.S. natural gas production and nearly a quarter of U.S. oil production coming from federal lands, according to a 2020 study from the American Petroleum Institute, an energy industry group.

And the president does not even have the power to ban fracking nationally.

  6. Nice spin. Nice characterization of Conservative media. Nice assumption I received this information off a Conservative website. However, here are the facts:

    1. I received the information Biden was banning fracking from a news aggregation page on FINVIZ.com, a stock screening website. By the way, CNN, in spite of their long history of deceptive headlines and biased news stories, is prominently on the aforementioned news aggregation page.

    2. Balanced news sites, aka Conservative news sites, other than Fox News, have a much higher quality of journalists and news reporting than what you often quote. Interesting headline on your quoted article. A bit defensive, is she? As it turns out, for good reason.

    3. Stoping new fracking on Federal lands where 25% of fracking crude production is currently coming from is a big deal, in spite of the author’s attempt at minimization. Hell, a 1% negative GDP growth rate over two quarters is enough to be called a recession and potentially cause a major stock market selloff. Again, the effect of stopping future fracking on Federal lands will affect more than just oil drillers, creating a snowball effect while our economy is vulnerable. By the way, after the first year or two of a new crude producing well, production falls dramatically, making continued development of new wells necessary to maintain sufficient crude supplies and our energy independence. Before the end of Biden’s term, if fracking is prevented on Federal lands, the US will have the burden of being a major net importer of energy again, assuming our economy is not in the tank. Guess who gets hurt the most be higher energy prices? If you thought “Biden supporters”, you would be right. Although to be fair, most of us would feel a recession assuming the new fracking ban helped contribute to it.

Well thought through decisions matter. A president that has a broad pool of expertise to draw from matters. Journalism matters. Activism matters. Since you have been active getting out the vote, how about putting some effort in helping keep our leaders accountable to the voters?

I am soft playing the new administration for at least 90 days. I just wanted to point out looks to be a major early gaff that has repercussions beyond Biden and the Democrat Party.
