  1. Why don't we wait until Biden is President for...maybe a day or so before we start labelling their place in history....

  3. I’m hoping that is not the case. It is ironic that those who want the most to cling to power will take the very measures they believe will keep them in power, but instead that measure will be the first event in a chain of events that will ultimately cause them to lose power. Often, unfortunately, after many years of many people suffering.

  4. Problem with Trump is, when he says something stupid, it's not a gaffe; it's exactly what he meant:

  5. Ever hear that old saying like my grandpa told me... "hope in one hand, shit in the other...."?

Of course I'd like to see your optimistic hope prevail.... it's just that history makes me expect the worst. (Recall the "hope" everybody had for Odumbo... and look at the damage he caused.) And when it comes to politics, I've rarely been disappointed in my negative views. To make things worse, I see Odumbo as Biden's "puppet master".

(I had hope for Trump. He wasn't able to accomplish much, but didn't let me down.... he tried to MAGA but the Dems wouldn't let him.... opposing everything at every turn to thwart his every move. Bet we won't see much of that in the Biden/Odumbo/Harris administration.) :(

  6. Oh come on now, I have already thought of that. This thread is intended to be enduring. Besides, the best way to work on one’s legacy is to start on day one.

As a reminder, votes on this thread’s poll are changeable at any time in the future, so this poll may be a relative measure how active ET Politics section participants feel about the Biden-Harris Administration at any given point in time. Perhaps I or someone else will “Take a snapshot” of polls results periodically and post it for posterity! I’m planning to take such a snapshot on Inauguration Day.

There will be also thought provoking content as derived from posted articles.

In the end, everyone should try to accomplish something positive each day for themselves and others, while keeping themselves and others accountable. Hopefully the Biden Administration will take a similar approach.

  7. Come on now, please give them a chance. I suspect you are a fair minded person. Am I right?

  8. Obama did give Biden a medal and Biden is going to dedicate a statue or something to Obama. I would relay my true feelings about that, but Biden is what we have to work with now. Biden has the bucket and we will know, for better or worse, what Joe really feels about the United States and her people.

  9. I think we already know what that is, sadly.

  10. If you are asking for longer views, then I will say that - as a result of dem media- the Biden-Harris administration will be remembered (or attempt to be remembered) as the first "Team Presidency" in the U.S. history.

Basically, Joe is unable to do the job without hoards of handlers. Obama is there in the background and he has already stacked Susan Rice and John Kerry into the administration to "guide" Joe. Since all of this Cardboard Cut-out President will not have a good look to it, the dems and the media that is an extension of the dnc will frame it as a Team Presidency, because that has a groovy, kumbaya feel to it. Versus saying "Joe hardly knows where he is and how to wipe his own arse."

Similarly, the notion that Joe would have or could have a view independent of what the EU and the United Nations would have is absurd. So all of this will be couched in and reframed as "Joe is a team-player, not a go it alone cowboy with independent thoughts and views."

In fact, there will be many days- we have had many already- where Joe is such a teamplayer and running such a Team Presidency- that he could spend a month in the fucking basement and it would make no difference whatsoever. And Joe is a fantastic bridgebuilder, Just tell him what the EU and the UN want to do and he is there. And olive branches. Whoa, Joe is definitely an olive branch kind of guy. Just tell him what China wants, what several million illegals in Central and South America want, what Maduro wants, what Iran wants, etc. and his olive branchi fired up and ready to go. No Viagra needed for Joe's olive branch. Especially when Kerry and Rice and Obama have already told him how to use his olive branch.
