Yeah, Biden is proposing with his plan to take it all the way from where it is to 1,000,000 doses a day. Wow! Biden is proposing to add an additional mind-blowing 10%. That is like someone being on the one yard line, the defense walks off the field, and then someone hands the ball to Joe to walk one whole yard into the end zone. 10% more. Whoa!!!! Wow!!!
That is interesting. Fauci stated earlier that they are going to continue to do the same thing and add to it. In reality, the plan is hardly changing at all. A major part of Biden's plan is to get the US pharmacies even more involved. That is a mind-blowing vanguard of an idea. I mean fucking amazing. BTW - You may want to explain to the Biden administration how spectacularly stupid that idea is and that it won't work. However, if amazon, does jump into the game, I am sure that will be meaningful and make a substantial impact.
Next to China, Amazon and Walmart are the two biggest "wartime" profiteers off the virus. The government shut down all their competitors and handed their business to them on a silver platter. Now Amazon wants an even deeper piece of the pie. As I have said before, I would slap an emergency wartime profiteering tax on them and redistribute it back to various zip codes where the business occurred and direct it to emergency food supplies for the public. It would not be a penalty tax and because they are doing more work they are entitled to make more, but a flat-out fucking gravy train based on government action with no direct benefit back to hungry people or the businesses put out of work is absurd. That might make me a lib or a conservative. Not sure. Don't care. The Biden's COVID Response Plan can be found here - (200 pages) https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-conte...VID-19-Response-and-Pandemic-Preparedness.pdf Can you show me the Trump COVID Response Plan? Let me underline that there is no Trump COVID Response Plan to add to.
https://www.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/fact-sheet-operation-warp-speed.pdf Explaining Operation Warp Speed https://www.defense.gov/Explore/New...ion-warp-speed-refines-vaccine-delivery-plan/ Operation Warp Speed Refines Vaccine Delivery Plan White House Unveils Distribution Plan For Operation Warp Speed Vaccines The White House unveiled its distribution plans Thursday for two coronavirus vaccines developed through Operation Warp Speed that proved effective in large-scale phase three clinical trials. The chart below shown at a White House coronavirus task force briefing outlines the administration’s logistical process to release the vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna prioritizing front-line health care workers first.
Claiming to have a plan and actually have a plan are two different things. The Trump administration never had a plan to address COVID -- they merely deflected blame and attempted to have the states handle everything. Presenting a single slide Powerpoint is not a plan.
Now you are changing the subject to try to deflect and in your mind be correct. The post that you replied to was specifically talking about the distribution plan of the vaccine. So, you are wrong. Here is a link to the entire plan: https://www.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/strategy-for-distributing-covid-19-vaccine.pdf
If you are calling a couple power point slides from the defense official "a plan" then you are sadly mistaken. Especially since it is a defense official (General Perna) who basically came out later stating they had no plan... and whatever they did was just a continual string of errors with no support from the White House. Let's take a look at the record of Federal failure with vaccine distribution... Trump administration accused of deception in pledging release of vaccine stockpile https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-usa-idUSKBN29K2H4 'I failed': Operation Warp Speed's co-leader claims responsibility for confusion about states' COVID-19 vaccine supplies https://www.businessinsider.com/ope...r-apologizes-vaccine-supply-confusion-2020-12 General Gustave Perna, chief operating officer of Operation Warp Speed, apologized Saturday for a "planning error" that caused dozens of states to expect more vaccine doses than they'll actually get. More than two dozens states have said they will receive 30% to 40% fewer doses of Pfizer's vaccine next week than they were expecting. Perna said that was a result of estimates he gave for planning purposes that wound up being incorrect. "I failed," Perna said. "I am adjusting, I am fixing, and we will move forward from there." Warp Speed is set to deliver 7.9 million doses next week to more than 3,700 sites across the country. (More at above url) ================================================= Distribution in the U.S. -- No Federal government help or plan Bottom Line: The Trump administration has done no planning for the distribution of the vaccine. They simply threw up their hands and said "private companies will figure it out". "States say they need more than $8 billion from the federal government to promote and distribute vaccines." Amount allocated = $0. "The federal government has not told states how many doses they will receive, hampering their ability to plan for which of many priority populations should get vaccinated first. " -- No information whatsoever from the federal government on how many doses. The federal government required states submit a plan on who in their populations have priority but have heard nothing back yet from the feds. There are also data privacy issues to overcome with some states -- "Nearly a dozen states still have not agreed to share patient data with the federal Centers for Disease Control, citing privacy concerns, meaning it will be hard for the federal government to track who has been vaccinated and who still needs a second dose." Inoculations by December? States aren’t so sure. While Trump promises tens of millions of vaccine doses next month, many states say they aren’t ready to administer them. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/18/covid-vaccines-december-states-437168 So let's get to the basics... The U.S. Military is not transporting the vaccine or using its own equipment. The U.S. Military has purchased no cold storage to store the vaccine for civilians. The U.S. Military is only providing advice. Nothing more.
