What extreme liberal ET trolls do not mention is Democrat run states have the slowest rollout and distribution of vaccines. Now, each state's allotments have been given out and just sitting in freezers in their states. The state Governors decide who gets it and how much. Governor De Santis of Florida has the fastest rollout with more people vaccinated who are high risk. A New York official went to Florida just so, he can get vaccinated. Top Democrat legends Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo are moving at a snail's pace distributing their vaccines while, thousands of their states residents die. Good job guys, ET trolls like to tell us how good of a job you are doing compared to President Donald Trump's efforts on the Corona Virus. Nothing like gross incompetence and negligence on Democrat governors. Yeah, that will save lives indeed.
I believe they are talking about two different things (just saw in interview on DVR'd BBC News). Biden is talking about a plan to distribute within the States. Trump only shipped the vaccines to the states, along with funds so that the States can do their own distribution.
The States were required to formalize and submit their own distribution plans. Trump just got the vaccines to the States. Biden apparently wants to step in and assist the States. CNN’s headline was disingenuous. But that’s how they report.
It would be nice to know the turnover time from ready to ship to into people’s arms. I don’t think there will be too much info available publicly about the manufacturing process though.
I believe it was a case of Biden using the word "plan" to include the states. It's obvious that the vaccine was being distributed, somewhat. Which is what Fauci was referring to, and why he answered the way he did. He wasn't speaking about a plan to distribute within the states. As I've repeated before: they were talking about two different things.
If that's the case, it shouldn't surprise anybody because "CDC worked with state, tribal, territorial, and local jurisdictions on the development of COVID-19 vaccination plans for their respective areas."
It boils down to a judgment call. Pandemics are the jurisdiction of the Federal government, as they can affect the whole country. So the leader has to ask and answer for himself, 'Should I trust that the states are competent enough to handle the distribution?" If the leader chooses to trust the states, and they fuck it up, well, like any leader, of any organization; they bear that responsibility. Note: I don't know if the States fucked up distribution; or if they weren't given enough vaccine. I do know that Trump said they had vaccines in reserve ... and that was a classical Trump Administration lie. So I suspect that the states weren't given enough vaccine as being the problem.
As I 'splained earlier today, every state had to submit their distribution plan to the CDC and every state's plan is available online. The deadline was last November 1. Joe says that there has been no plan and been no work with the states. Of course he has made sure that he did no work to find out what had been done. As one of the pundits said, "Joe Biden has plagiarized his entire career. In law school, from British MP speechs, etc. etc. so it is to be expected that Biden will just take a lot of Trump work and spin it a little and put his name on it. That comes easy to Joe. Everything within him and in his background makes that type of scuzzy and scammy stuff easy for him. Today Joe announced the great idea that he was going to talk with and contract with private pharmacy chains to do vaccinations. Gee, I wonder where he got that idea. Oh, I see Trump had the CEO's of Walgreens and CVS to the white house for a joint show and tell about how they were running the vaccine injections for seniors and would also be involved in the next steps. Joe may legitimately know nothing. I don't know. He is so far gone, I would not venture to guess when he is being purposely deceitful versus just lost in space. He is both a crooked son of a bitch and an idiot so it hard to tell which is the greater motivator for him.
