A lot of the states dropped a lot of the stuff that was involved with those emergency powers as in they believe they no longer need it.

I think Medicare and Medicaid involving the "no cost sharing for Covid-19" at-home testing will be the last to go. Some are even using it as a sign that the Pandemic is over when they see that no cost disappear.

I expect it to be gone by end of year but I read somewhere that the GOP plans to get rid of all of it at once when they take control of the House & Senate even though the American people will still be financially struggling to keep up with the rising costs of living because of inflation.

Personally, Biden should have never said what he said about the Pandemic being over because it will "discourage" many people that are thinking about the bivalent booster shots, especially those that are the most vulnerable such as people with compromised immune systems, disabilities, multi-family households and people of color. It may also create a problem for vaccinations for other diseases.
    • There are still about 400 people on average that are dying per day from a Covid illness.
It would suck to be one of those people to get a severe Covid illness that results in either Death or Hospitalization while the country is getting close to traversing from a Pandemic to a manageable Endemic.

Yet, if we can get the Deaths per day to less than 100 per day and can weather any new Variants of Concern subvariants showing up...I would then declare the Pandemic to be over.

Almost Every person I know is vaxxed to the tits and ‘caught COVID’ multiple times. Input that in quotes because everyone knows the tests are garbage.
anyways, Several of them got wrecked. Many had lingering issues for weeks. (Hint your vaccine sucks and actually weakens your immune system. Well done, science!)

Not to mention the booster side effects that are killing them. See the rising excess deaths.

    Unvaxxed are doing jussssssst fine.

At some point, we need to feel empathy for people that behave like that online but it all makes sense considering the dramatic rise in mental illness in this Pandemic...most people like that are obviously not getting proper help.

Yeah, once in a while I make fun of them but at the end of the day...people need to just grow up and move on. Those that are vaccinated goes on with their life and those not vaccinated goes on with their life.

Trump/Pence Vaccines are doing their job (see the graph I posted yesterday), and the only thing people should be thinking about or worried about is the economy, inflation, gas prices, the cost of food, and the rising cost of everything.

This time next year...people will be bullshitting about other issues while the Pandemic is in the rear view mirror.

  6. Nothing like claiming "every person I know" as some factual basis to rant on.... I sincerely doubt you know the facts about every person you know in this entire world or how many times they caught covid or their vax status or how wrecked they got.....

There are unvaxxed doing fine and there are vaxxed doing fine... there are unvaxxed that died too.....just saying shit means nothing except to rant and rave and cry because no one is paying attention to you.

I have not gotten a check or ferrari from Pfizer or Abbot so not sure it is my vaccine.

My family has done well in this Pandemic. All are vaccinated and boosted. Yet, one of my teenagers did test positive for Covid earlier in the year but then he tested negative for Covid the next three days I tested him.
    • False Positive
He had no symptoms but he didn't go to school for the week to self-quarantine at home...school rules even for those with a false positive test.

We recently returned back from traveling in three different countries to visit universities and relatives (some are elderly) plus I myself am immune-compromise from a 2016 severe illness (pneumonia).

Yet, I wasn't allowed to take the Pfizer nor J&J...allergic to two of the ingredients. In contrast, I'm fully vaccinated & boosted with Moderna.

  8. No one intelligent ever said the vaccine will stop you from getting covid just like the flu shot does not shield you from getting the flu... it is an immunity booster especially for something new or strong.

Amazing how the news folks made most of the country so stupid.

Don’t forget there are vaxxed that died too. They are dying at higher rates than the unvaxxed.
And now they got the kids.
Fortunately people have woken up and not gotten their sub 5 year olds stabbed with this dangerous ineffective bullshit.
The vast majority of people I know are vaxxed to the tits. The vast majority of them got COVID more than once. Not to mention the trips to the hospital, the heart attack, the pacemaker, and the sudden resurgence of cancer (in 4 people in my immediate circle). And the 12 year old kid who died from the vaccine that I met through a friend.

That includes Biden, who specifically said that getting the vaccine will prevent you from "getting" COVID. I hate when people use those terms. It does not matter what level of immunity you have from a pathogen. You will still GET the thing. Just as you said, your body fighting it off is what makes you "immune to the devastating effects" of it. The vaccine boosts your body's ability to fight off said devastating effects.
