The only thing the U.S. is doing is having a army logistics general look into trucking and flying the vaccine around the country --- but provide the military with no cold storage for the vaccine doses. The Trump administration's policy was "we will let the private industry figure it out" Compare this to Germany and the U.K. where the government is setting up mass vaccination centers, purchasing cold storage, and arranging all the logistics in December. Germany expects to have their entire population of 83 million vaccinated between January and March -- if the vaccine doses are available on time.
