Peter Lynch kept it real simple - he picked stocks of companies who products he used & liked & unlike many of his peers he cut the losers. It was well known that his Magellan fund was so big their purchasing of more stock shares was always driving the fund price up. Not sure if that is really an art - maybe a good example of KISS. He taught the average investor how it's done - that my explain why so many got into Netflix early on and hung on to it.
