"In the short term the market is a voting machine; in the long term it is a weighing machine." -Warren Buffett
He who fish in another man's well, might catch crabs. I think the moral of this one is trade what you know, don't trade what some other guy knows or recommended.
Know when you are out of your league... Forget those startups Google, Facebook, and Amazon...AOL will be here long after those losers are gone!! Never trade in Puerto Rico (electricity)...
Demo trading is 99% technical, and 1% mind / money management. Live trading is 99% mind / money management, and 1% technical.
"The fear of loss is a path to the dark side .. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose" -- Master Yoda
Fear and past experiences can be really crippling and damaging, to some people. -- It kind of just locks them in place, and time , When I suffered a 40% account loss when I first began and jumped into trading head first in 2008/09...I studied and paper traded in my mind, and just sat on the market sidelines...for the longest time. Just couldn't seem to get myself to jump back into the market. Kind of like dating and relationships. Initially, you're so carefree and happy and excited and innocent...but as you experience rejection or ageing...you can get really defense and apprehensive to experience that again.
%% Good quotes; i think demo trading is an invention of brokers. NOT really against paper trading- i use fed reserve notes all he time .,
