I have one nick Keri60. And I say that OldTrader is one of the best traders in ET.
I do not understand what you're getting at.

    Good question.
Most of the names so far mentioned I have never come across.
I suppose the journal writers get some notice but I rarely read them.
The jokes section has some interesting and colourful characters.

  8. That's really what it comes down to. Lots of people can talk the talk, but who's actually getting results is what determines the best trader.

  9. its downright scary how many people bs nonsense over here; although i consider the time spent building themselves up would be better served actually building edge instead...but still as mentioned through the years it seems some really decent traders have showed up around here.

in my case through trader p/l i post weekly, monthly and yearly marks to eliminate the cherry picking that is possible. my reasons as stated many times before is to show guys it is indeed possible to excel in this field given hard work, brains and luck. i don't aspire to be the best here; just to be happy and financially secure.

There is an important yardstick for me, that is profit/money/gains. I understand there are risk analytics to compare portfolio holdings, but do not care really about them. I find that most folks seeking a profit in the market are more willing to share the thrills and emotions and methods and all the crap rather than the overall results of said methods. I do not care about good teachers. I want to know what makes a winning trade, if those that know it don't do it, then I say they do not know it.

For example, my spouse today asked if there are any certified financial planners older than 45, and if so, why would they still be working. Shouldn't a good CFP be retired by then?

I ask people on the internets what there results are, they do not share. I assume they are losers so do not listen to them and keep doing what works for me.
