The best traders in ET

  1. You've made an important distinction here and I believe it's easier to identify the best educators on ET.

Great educators are naturals, they not only know their stuff and teach well, they can no more resist teaching than an addict can resist drugs. Easy to spot the great ones here.

Spotting the great traders here is a lot more difficult. For one thing not every great trader will post their trades here. Some are intensely private individuals (often comes with the territory), others may just be too busy making money to bother.

Then from the great traders who do care to post their trades here in verifiable fashion, you have to separate them from the bullshitters and poseurs who provide an abundance of 'proof' that in reality is pure dross. One comes readily to mind and I suspect he is top of your list as well.

Now some of the great educators here may well be great traders also, but choose not to post their trades. So what? Over the years what I've learned from the educators has played a greater part in my surviving than what I've learned from the great traders.

Since I've been goofing off and watching the golf since Thursday, let me give a topical example. There are more players who have held a tour card for years than there are players who have won majors. Having a tour card for years means you have successfully made a living by playing golf over the years. Given that most traders fail (according to the stats), making a living from trading for a few years is nothing to sniff at.

Everyone wants to be Tiger Woods. Phil Mickelson made a very handsome living from golf for years before bagging his first major.

There was no firm edge, Tuco was a scapegoat for the industry because SEC didn't like the business model imho.

Yeah, I'm sure there are members here at ET that do not post trades here, do not post broker statements here and just don't care to engage in any of the penis measuring contests that typically occurs at ET especially with ET's well known trolls.

Yet, my commentary wasn't about them. In contrast, I was only commenting about those that did or have posted some sort'uv verification of their trading on a consistent basis. Thus, it's really not hard to see whom are profitable and whom are not amongst those that posted some sort'uv verification of consistent profits or consistent losses.

Also, I do agree its fairly easy to determine the great educators here at ET. There threads are usually listed in the "ET Hall of Fame Threads" section @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=204669

Funny how Bowo talks all about how his trading is "scientific" and then starts dissing atheists for being scientific.
Leave your imaginary friends at the door when it comes to trading.

  5. I've looked at a few of those threads, good stuff though some of it goes around the mulberry bush.

There is an underlying motivation to seeking out great traders and great educators, but I can virtually guarantee you 99.99% of the people who do so do not objectively evaluate what they learn by doing that.

How often do we see people unwilling to fork out $50 for a book on trading because it is "too expensive"? I've never traded anything directly from a book, but if I can get one idea by thinking about what is in a book, $50 is nothing.

  7. Denial of a higher power like a humanoid as big as the earth or you walk into a humongous shower with a 9 foot 8 inch woman from.... I have no idea...

I've spoken only to parades of men supposedly carrying the resurrected Christ after telling the options forum that they overtrade did happen that night to first see Him in that way. It would be the same night the options forum found out I might say something if there ever were such a thing as "final judgement" I'd bet that given the promptness of that dream then I feel sorry for what's coming to those who will not trust in their own salvation and not in the way of Christianity but more as a oneness that accepts that somewhere there may be somebody deciding whether it is worth it at all to come back and take you "to heaven" which is another planet very similar to earth or earth in the future.

Other signs while you're asleep are for much more intellectually bright people who have to work in 3 places at once at night mostly are superfluous about describing these dreams as "lucid nightdreaming." This happens about every night, and once you understand that that is the concious reality the age of your body at that particular time in the future will have you then realize that that dream will be experienced at some point because somehow you are there and as long as I'm on this subject just because I believe temporal backtravel happens does not mean I only call it a pandora's box because being self-aware is a requirement before you slumber each night with $200 million on NQ... then maybe you have some place else to be at that moment when you are dreaming and see yourself in the future at that exact moment at the age you are in the future you know you are going to see it and that's down a rabbit hole of junk I just take certain ideas such as time travel to mean that if you stop yourself in time you are actually going backward because time will move forward and to you you will feel that you are time traveling if you understand what brought you there was some technology that made that possible.

Due to personal belief and my knowledge of quantum mechanics, there is no reason a whole live human being cannot go back in time, and probably something to do with Pandora if you really were to think about why that is so I'm talking like you know for sure if there's god and I only get teary eyed if I have to discuss the non-believer with any religion other than Judeo-Christian Protestant and or Catholic.

I'm sorry your unsympathetic to those other beings who might have had something to do with your existence so I'll go along with this thread as if I'm not sounding crazy because the legitimacy of whether time travel exists or not has to do with your awareness of it since everyone wants to live forever I just described how.

In revelation, there is a woman about to be fed to the dragon who escapes but has to wait 2 and a half lifetimes before she may return to earth. That woman is Jezebel and by this logic a time traveler who others will come to know at least insofar as they explain to their faith that somehow space travel and going back in time is the best path to immortality than trying to preserve the body forever which of course is absurd so whether I'm making sense or not you'd better have an explanation at some point for the moral compass will always revel in unabominated greed without compassion for the ethics of what their work is.

I'd go on Kantian like philosophical prose if it meant you can't rule out a righteous judge at some point deciding whether to return to save you or not and if you aren't aware of this opportunity then that is the main difference I have about my own faith in Christ particularly that this is the only scientific explanation if we do want a chance to try to have as many lifetimes as we want and this is called eternity.

  10. Justrading, pandora is above, and I loved reading the book "Communion" because this was the part he never figured out in the book but laid it out here as my logic for how to accomplish "getting to heaven and living forever."

Lives and Bodies, keep track of them, and as much as I am spirtual that part of my belief system is about the only logic I can handle facing the aging of my body and fear of death we all share. These thoughts calm me, which may be the extent of the benefit I may have about believing that and it having something to do with Christ, His judges, or His own Final Judgement.

The person watching the nightflyers around here had a crop circle in his back yard last year by the way and you can go to my twitter to see the picture of it.

Pretty neat? Like the crop circle? And that right after I appointed myself President and CEO of 3rd party corporate interests in the Motherfuckin Space Olympics page I have on facebook.
