  1. WHO would be that stupid to pay 200% for a used item??!..thats crazy. How does your friend determine value for rented items?

    ----

I had an idea like that...buy a few used honda civics..drop a K20A engine w/ 240hp, add a turbo to get another 100 hp... body kit, underglow lights, custom wheels/ tires, and rent them out.

We have like 4 high schools in a 3 mile radius, and all the guys wanna be racers..lol

who wouldn't want a 340+ hp civic?... Demand is there, just cost so damn much.

dosn't stop their though..for black guys, we could have a pimped out cadillac on 22's, mexicans would like the lowrider pick-up trucks.......lol something for everyone :D

This biz does not operate by logic.

But most cash sales are for new items that are marked up 200%. He marks up the same items another hundred percent if you want to pay for it over a twelve month period. Most used items have better profit margins but that is for new stuff.

He says if you buy the same item at Lowes or Best Buy on a high rate interest credit card that you will end up paying a similar amount.

But Nutmeg words of wisdom are some i won't forget soon. Why buy a job, why not do something you love? - Good Advice:)

  4. crayola 301.

you get a blank sheet of paper.

    You turn it to landscape.

You make a horizontal row of boxes.

You label each descrete step of the way from beginning to end of a thead that goes from originator to final consumer.

Within each box label who is in control on each side of the box where the lines connect to the box.

There is one box in the chain that has buyer's market on the left and seller's market on the right.

That is the box to own and operate in every chain that exists.

    crayola 401

i came up with a means of illustrating systems that process stuff.

    It is a "spaghetti chart".

Draw a big box on a portrait sheet.

Draw 100 charts of different things that start out as liabilities on the left and end up as assets on the right in a seller's market.

Do the wood chips and branches on the left and alcohol on the right as a starter.

Inside you big box draw the boxes of crayola 310 on the inside using just lines in the big box and separate exploded sheets as attachments.

you can average 400% stock price increase on any of these per year. Be the owner of the box by doing the charts in your garage and have zillions of shares and think of your names as something that is like "Bill Gates"

Think of a town with no plumbing and just one power line coming into it. You have a room with four computers in it and you rent time on the computers. do this in Mexico and see how fast your billions catch up to bill gate's and that guy in Omaha with the oak desk.

If you make the drawing you get two things:

    money and free space anywhere.

  5. A father realizing his son wasn't very bright offered him this one piece of advice to succeed. "Son, every day two people are going to exhange money, get in between them."

  6. "All the folks that were "succesful small business people" in that book "managed their own investments". I took that as they were traders and good ones and they had businesses."

Who knew, I was too busy working. I had a delivery business, should have been trading gasoline futures, also.

I can get the gist of what your saying, but was hoping for some clarification. I would like to understand it. I'll add Q's in green

I was really hesitant to post because I got lost on the particulars - but can recognize a great concept and logical formula (process) is on the table. Can we get some more details?

    Thanks

  9. All the strings of boxes have many boxes. When you get up to about 10 or so you have made a beginning.

Do one for that pencil on your desk.

Go from your desk as the ultimate consumer as the box on the right.

This time, allow yourself to branch out as you go to the left.

I'll list some of the boxes for you that have the buyers's market on the left and the seller's market on the right. Each line below IS a box in a line of boxes that IS the money maker.

I'll start with the top of the pencil.

    Gaylord clay shippers.

    Internet dye shippers

Major city junk and scrap metal yards

    regional laquer distributors.

internet metallic transfer roll packagers. Get the replacement stamping dies there too

    animal waste collectors

regional wood back shop milling blades sales and resharpeners. The half hex wood removers of the 8 pencil block.

National pencil billet distributors (white cedar and red cedar)

Waste carbon collectors and distributors (regional). Look in phone book under electrolsys

The tooling is more fun and so is the floor and building repair and maintenance stream

floors have to be ground since graphite embeds.

take a look at the combo of lacquer and metalic air filtering requirements too.

Then you can take a look at who makes the most money in pencils as pencils.

When it comes down to entrepreneurial opportunities it is so endless.

A person who is a packager can name his price. I charged 5K/mon for one hour contact per week on a six mon min contract.

The usual play the client gets is 20K/mon direct and cummulative.

    a 20..40...80.. etc scenario.

On mergers it looks like two grosses of 20 and 5 mill go to 75 mill with one 25 mill spin off.

Both of these are in an example on list above but not pencil field derived.

You can generally take the bulk to package as the easiest. If you have a priv label possibility you are home free repeat sales wise.

Liz is the one who took Braches to priv label on star kist mints for example. This are multiple tractor trailer load regular shipment level ideas.

ET people are not in this groove of money thinking.

Making money is really big business.

It isn't really possible to put stuff on the table easily in this kind of group

Thanks for the Q's they were right on .

Today for every 110 families there is a milliionaire family.

I can't understand why most people aren't millionaires by their 30th birthday no matter what they start with. Mid 20's or so is more like it.

My cousin said yesterday (he is 8 days younger) that our generation is the last to come along whose kids do not have the chance of being richer than their parents. We all knew from the get go that we would be richer. Kids now do not think that anymore. TV may have wrecked the ability for people to think. Look at this thread....lol...
