On a related note, I knew a sales manager who said he interviewed a guy once and at the end picked up his coffee mug and said "Sell this to me". The guy replied "How much do think it is worth?" "Five dollars." The guy says "Sold!" and got the job.
I remember when I interviewed at the popcorn factory and HR asked me that question. I told the boss straight up front, the place is a fucking mess, the floor needs to be swept, the windows are dirty, the help all looks like they should be out on disability. The whole gd place is unorganized and honestly I'm your man for the job. He said when I got 750k, then and only then can I tell him how to run his business. I think he meant for me to buy him out. I thought for a moment and said "no thanks you burnt out loser". Our relationship was strained after that, I still bought my popcorn from him, later he sold out to a bank that wanted the real estate.
