Russia never would have even thought about putting missiles in Cuba but for a rookie president. "a line in the sand"... Its like a schoolyard bully taking your lunchmoney but one day you manage to hide a nickel from the bully. So you pat yourself on the back and say you drew a line in the sand. So. Russia brings a dozen missiles to Cuba gets Kennedy to never attack Cuba then the missiles leave. Now Russia can protect and base propaganda operations from its puppet Cuba, for 50 years with no military support. Seems like a brilliant chess move by the Russians. In the end nothing changed except now we set a precedent for being bribed with missile for peace
