Ilhan Omar (1) called for Iran to go after Trump properties. Now that a real threat has been identified, (2) cops around the country are calling for her to be arrested for inciting potential violence and threatening national security. The first claim, they actually sourced. It was quickly evident that this claim was either a lie, or the result of illiteracy, because they helpfully posted her tweet. (They didn’t give us good direction on whether they’re lying or illiterate unfortunately.) What Omar said was that Trump needs to divest of personal business interests if he wants to be President. Because IF Iran chose to target any of his global properties, they could hold him hostage if he was worried about losing clientele. (And we know he would be.) To turn this into “Omar called for Iran to go after Trump properties hinges on Iran not being able to think this up, AND on this same scenario not appearing in multiple opinion columns. Well, they did appear in multiple columns and tweets. And as for the first part, that Iran could never think of this....these are the very people who believe they are the smart ones with insider Special Q knowledge. And they aren’t even aware this scenario has been a widespread concern since the day Trump took office and broke his promise to divest personal interests? As for the second claim, they just didn’t bother to source a single one of these “cops around the country”. The only other mention of this claim is “conservatives blew up her Twitter” or some such shit. Apparently Russian bots are really furiously involved political policeman in rural America now. But no word on how they know this.
