When I comes to pizza, I’ll take the 50th best NY/NJ italian restaurant over the best in any other state. Especially out west, the water sucks for making great pizza dough.
@Clubber Lang Italian restaurants are a lot more than pizza shops. Having dined at Quince a few times I can attest that it's top notch. Another Italian spot Acquellero also in SF an excellent choice. PS these are both Michelin starred restaurants https://www.yelp.com/biz/quince-san-francisco?osq=quince https://www.yelp.com/biz/acquerello-san-francisco?osq=Acquellero
100% Agree. The food is spectacular at some of those restaurants. I just said pizza because a friend of mine from college had a chain of NYC pizza places and when we were out in AZ in the mid 90’s he said they can’t make good pizza because the water isn’t good for making dough.
