If you still are looking for a great deal on monitors, Frys often has the LG 24" LED Monitors on sale for around $159 each. Excellent pictures, DVI and VGA plugs in the back and they have the mounting plate screw holes on the back so you can attach them to a multi-monitor stand. I am running 4 of them and they work great! It is one of the best price/size combos that I was able to find! Good luck with your monitor search.
Surf, Search for LG W2343T monitors on eBay, 23" widescreen, high-res, less than $100 - you claim to be a cheapskate, prove it I use em in a quad monitor setup, no complaints.
