can you tell me what current video card you have today? also, how many charts you would like to have per monitor? and what resolution is ideal to you?

that will help me help you... I can send you a few comparisons and you can then use froogle.com to find the best cost...

  3. 19 to 24 inch is fine-- the 20in samsung for 100 each will likely fit the bill, video cards are NVIDIA GEforce 8400 GS

so you have DVI-D and VGA... take a look at this two...

my only issues with the samsungs is that they are a pain to use with multimonitor stands... that has been my own personal experience.

to be honest, i think you should get new cards... otherwise, you will have 4 of those cards... best to have 1 or 2...

  5. Perfect, thanks for the info on the samsung and monitor stands---- i can't believe how cheap these things have become--- I spent $10,000 in 1998 on 2 15" mass monitor quad trees--and the predator pro cards--- I guess these things are worthless now. LOL!

Ofthomas - Any idea if they will keep producing the 24" monitors that are 1900 x 1200 or are those going the way of the dinosaur?

I bought two-Dell U2412Ms about six months ago and I like them a lot. Almost double in price compared to the far more common size of 1900x1080? but they're very sturdy, they can be raised, lowered, tilted or rotated and since they're taller, I don't have to scroll very much. Just wondering if I should buy some more or if they'll keep making them as 'low end' monitors for the people who work with high quality images.

I have three 22" Viewsonics (1920x1080) I believe I paid $149 per screen. Pretty solid, well priced monitor. Although, I did just purchase some Dell U2412m screens for a new setup.

sadly... 16:10 aspect ratio is gone the way of the dino... so if you really want 1920x1200... buy now... I personally prefer those as well...

everything going forward will be 16:10 or 1080P pretty much...

I still have, in the box, 24.1" SUN monitors because they support the resolution I like 1920x1200... so you are not nuts about thinking that way...

  9. How about inexpensive 6X monitor stands? I have seen them on ebay in the $120 plus/minus area, but they are not longer listed--- any suggestions? need 3 wide X 2 high. $500 t0 1200 seems outrageous--- I need 3 to 5 thank you. surf

  10. If you're coming from non-widescreen monitors, 20" widescreen is going to be shorter than you think.
