Sanders: Support for Clinton 'totally dependent' on how progressive her agenda is PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders said Sunday that his level of support for Hillary Clinton as the party’s nominee would be “totally dependent” on whether she incorporates a progressive agenda like his into her campaign against the Republican nominee. The senator from Vermont said he would do all he can to prevent a “right-wing Republican” from becoming president, but he laid out some conditions when asked during an appearance on ABC News’s “This Week” whether he would make an “enthusiastic case” for Clinton. “That is totally dependent on what the Clinton platform is and how she responds to the needs of millions of Americans who are sick and tired of establishment politics and establishment economics,” Sanders told host George Stephanopoulos. “If Secretary Clinton is the nominee, she is going to have to make the case to the American people, not just to my supporters, but all Americans, that she is prepared to stand up to the billionaire class, she is prepared to fight for health care for all Americans, that she is prepared to pass paid family and medical leave, make sure that college is affordable for the young people in this country.” The appearance was one of four on the Sunday talk-show circuit for Sanders ahead of five primaries on Tuesday that could largely settle the race for the nomination in Clinton’s favor. Coming off of a decisive win last week in New York, the former secretary of state looks well-positioned, according to polls, in most of Tuesday's contests — in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware... http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...ogressive-her-agenda-is/ar-BBsbCb4?li=BBnbcA1
The Bern Idiocy... Bernie Sanders Wants to Legalize Marijuana...and Maybe Ban Cigarettes? The senator says there's "almost the question" of why cigarettes are "a legal product in this country." Jesse Walker|Apr. 24, 2016 6:48 pm Of the five major presidential candidates remaining in the race, Bernie Sanders is the only one to have called for an end to the federal pot ban. But he also seemed to hint today on Meet the Press that he'd like to add another drug to the list of forbidden substances. Here's the exchange, which came after Sanders explained his opposition to a proposed soda tax: CHUCK TODD: So you must be against cigarette taxes, too, then? BERNIE SANDERS: No, I'm not. Cigarette taxes are— There's a difference between cigarettes and soda.... CHUCK TODD: I don't think Michael Bloomberg would agree with you on that one. BERNIE SANDERS: Well, that's fine. He can have his point of view. But cigarettes are causing cancer, obviously, and a dozen other diseases. And there is almost the question as to why it remains a legal product in this country. That would have been a nice place for Todd to inquire about just how we should take that phrase "almost the question." Instead the conversation turned to how Sanders' supporters would react to a Trump/Clinton race, and so that brief moment of A Candidate Saying Something Interesting winked out, without any follow-ups. If Sanders does think that cigarettes should not be "a legal product," I'd like to introduce him to a fellow who once said that "making drugs illegal isn't helping to solve anything." The senator has probably heard of the guy—it's the young Bernie Sanders. http://reason.com/blog/2016/04/24/bernie-sanders-wants-to-legalize-marijua
You clearly did not listen to the video. He destroys your above argument. Throughout history every socialist or communist country eventually became a dictatorship or an oligarchy. That is my statement not Crowder's. Listen to it this time.
NAZI is an acronym for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. Its English translation is National Socialist German Workers' Party. “The day we see the truth and cease to speak is the day we begin to die” ― Martin Luther King Jr.
Bernie Sander's is not trying to kill people because of race, or religion. What he talk about is changing the healthcare system to not be so for profit, but for the building of health for his country. What he talk about is educating the people in his country to build the smart and strong people.
Do you think Bernie Sanders will create the militia to control people? Like Hitler? My opinion is Bernie Sanders respect human rights so much, and respect peace so much, so very, very different than Hitler.
I agree with the "race, or religion" comment. However, Bernie is demonizing the 1% and capitalism. Hitler demonized the wealthy Jews (basically the 1%) and capitalism. The other two comments were part of the Nazi political platform. Similar to Castro. I am sure that you are familiar with how Cuba ended up a dictatorship. I just can't believe that we have to keep repeating this history.
The Bern, fights on as best he can. "Senator Bernie Sanders is planning to lay off "hundreds" of campaign staffers across the country and focus much of his remaining effort on winning California, he said in an interview Wednesday..." http://www.cnbc.com/2016/04/27/bern...-of-staff-members-and-turn-to-california.html
Bernie has long called himself an Independent. He should drop out of this charade that is rigged against him and run as an Indie candidate. That is the only way his supporters can have a true say in the election.
