Now she says Obama did it so it is OK. Incredible.

It is the kiss of death to be a democrat and be seen as someone that even comes close to touching fossil fuels with a ten foot pole. You might as well stick your hand on an electric fence.

Clinton, under fire for oil and gas donations, once hit Obama for same reason

"Syracuse, New York (CNN)Hillary Clinton, currently defending herself from environmental critics for accepting money from employees at oil and gas companies, hit then-Sen. Barack Obama for doing the same thing in 2008.

Clinton lost her temper at an event on Thursday when activists from Greenpeace and 350 Action, two environmental organization, asked her to "reject fossil fuel money" and not accept donations from the gas and oil industry. "I'm so sick of the Sanders' campaign lying about me. I'm sick of it," Clinton said...

...Both Clinton and Obama accepted money from executives and employees of oil companies during the 2008 campaign,
according to Center for Responsive Politics. Obama accepted $222,309 and Clinton accepted $309,363, according to the watchdog.
Clinton's 2016 campaign has taken more than $300,000 from people who work for those companies, according to Greenpeace. Clinton's campaign noted on Thursday that Sanders has taken upwards of $50,000 from the same individuals.
Brian Fallon, Clinton's press secretary, responded to the 2008 ad by noting that Sanders, too, has taken money from employees at oil and gas companies.
"Then, as now, both Democratic candidates in the race accepted donations from employees of oil and gas companies," Fallon said. "We have not accused Senator Sanders of being beholden to the oil and gas industry on that basis, nor should he say that of Hillary Clinton."...

  3. Clinton would like everyone to believe that taking millions from K Street Lobbyists is the same as taking a 25 dollar donation from Joe Lunchbucket who happens to work for an oil company. Considering the low grade morons that make up a huge part of her constituency, she'll probably pull it off.

The Bern is right we need a political revolution. But it won't happen until voting is much easier. The internet in conjuction with bitcoin blockchain is the answer imo.

The Definitely Messy, Probably Solvable Reasons Americans Don't Vote :(

Or more likely, Americans don't vote because the candidates are crap, the public is disenfranchised and understands on some deep level that voting is worthless so long as two parties have a strangle hold on their lives, especially when partnered with a complicit lapdog media.

    Well that too.

But I strongly disagree with the last statement. I think the Bern is a quality candidate.

I know you do. And if we are defining "quality" by personality, not beholden to special interest and standing for values in which he/she believes in and not just pandering, then I would also consider him a quality candidate. Unfortunately, Bernie's "strong values" don't match up with my "strong values" in many cases. So I cannot consider him a quality candidate for me to choose.

I took a good, long look at Bernie's campaign site. Honestly, a lot of stuff he has there is quite good. I'm not as opposed - position wise - to him as I had first thought. I'm ashamed to say I formed an opinion on him without actually reading through all the proposals. This doesn't mean I plan to donate to him, mind you, just that a lot of his proposals are very good.

  9. Such as what? Banning assault weapons? Federal gun registry? Raising taxes to fund more welfare? Amnesty and open borders?

Sanders is a former communist who now claims to be a socialist. He should be as unacceptable as David Duke, who I'm sure also had some good positions. It speaks volumes about the democrats and the media that he isn't. Of course, they also look at al Sharpton as a respected figure.

Oh God, here we go with the Communist stuff again.

Seriously, do you know the difference between Socialism and Communism? Or do you just see the ism at the end and start foaming at the mouth?
