    Lobbying in the United States

"...Since the 1980s, congresspersons and staffers have been "going downtown"—becoming lobbyists—and the big draw is money.[83] The "lucrative world of K Street" means that former congresspersons with even "modest seniority" can move into jobs paying $1 million or more annually, without including bonuses for bringing in new clients..."

You want a million immigrants a year and maybe another million who are either anchor babies or illegals who go on welfare a year and that is not enough socialism for you? I would say we are incredibly generous and it can't last much longer>

We can't know the answer to your question because our policies keep breaking the old nordic model.

We have taken in a total of 80 million immigrants and anchor babies the last generation or 2. Half of these people are still on welfare. even fewer pay taxes.

So how could you expect a socialist model to work? Trillions in handouts each year. at least half of that to new citizens. With no new citizens we could have easily created a socialist utopia if that is what you wished.

And all those new people keep wages down by competing for jobs on and off the books.
Not to mention we have another another 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants.

We have also spent trillions "protecting" our bankers and business interests all over the world.
Allowing our bankers to spend the trillions they print on their own all of the world pretending its good for us that the world does business in dollars. (as they have diluted our dollars with by 700% in my lifetime. )

I would claim we have an amazing model of international socialism already serving our crony class exactly how they want to be served.

We bring in a million more wal mart customers who vote for a continuation of handouts ( 8o%) a year. That is one heck of a socialist model.

Please don't blame our issues on prejudice. Our prejudice has no impact... the cronies have run this show for decades.

What ticks me off is when the left breaks the system and then seems to blame conservatives or calls american's prejudiced.
    its really ugly.

"Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN)Bernie Sanders criticized Israel's treatment of Palestinians, condemning the expansion of West Bank settlements and blasting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's withholding of tax dollars from Palestinian authorities, in a speech Monday in Utah.

The Vermont senator was the only 2016 presidential candidate to skip an 18,000-attendee pro-Israel conference in Washington. Instead, he delivered his foreign policy speech in Salt Lake City, capital of a state which, along with Arizona and Idaho, will vote in Democratic nominating contests on Tuesday.

Sanders is the only Jewish candidate in the race -- though he didn't mention that in his speech and rarely does on the campaign trail. He did, however, discuss living in a kibbutz as a young man..."

Why Bernie Sanders skipped pro-Israel conference

How unusual is Sanders' decision to skip AIPAC? 02:16
Washington (CNN)Bernie Sanders, like the four other remaining presidential candidates, spoke of his views on Israel on Monday night.

But unlike his competitors, who flocked to Washington to lay out their positions to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Sanders declined to address the pro-Israel lobby in person.

Instead, he stuck to the campaign trail in the western U.S. and gave a foreign policy speech that took stances likely to grate on the ears of Israel advocates as well as to please them.

Though Sanders is the only Jewish candidate and one whose views were shaped in part by his time living on an Israeli kibbutz, he apparently saw little benefit in appearing at a forum that features few of his progressive constituents and might not be receptive to his positions on Israel.

Sanders advisers told CNN's Jeff Zeleny Monday that they made a decision that he would do better staying on the trail rallying voters ahead of Tuesday's contests.

Sanders has not spoke often of his heritage, his time in Israel or his views on the country now. Indeed, his speech Monday night in Salt Lake City represented some of his most extensive comments to date on the issue and they didn't feature many applause lines for AIPAC activists, who take a harder line on Israel than that articulated in his address...

Poll: Trump, Clinton score historic unfavorable ratings

"Washington (CNN)Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton register net negative ratings in double digits, indicating the front-runners for each party's presidential nominations are viewed negatively at historic levels,
according to a new CBS/New York Times poll.

That makes Trump and Clinton viewed more unfavorably than any front-runner for either party since 1984, when CBS began polling voters on the question.

On the Republican side, Trump scores a net negative of -33, with a favorable rating of 24% compared to 57% of voters who view him unfavorably. On the Democratic side, Clinton fares only slightly better with a net negative of -21, registering a 31% favorable rating and a 52% unfavorable rating, according to the poll.

Both candidates' negatives far outweigh front-runners of the past. In 2012, President Barack Obama was viewed favorably and unfavorably by an equal share of voters, while Republican nominee Mitt Romney scored a net negative of -7. In 2008, both Obama and Sen. John McCain had net positive ratings of 16 and 7 points, respectively.

READ: CNN/ORC poll: Trump, Clinton remain on top

The previous highest unfavorable rating since 1984 actually belongs to another Clinton -- former President Bill Clinton, who in 1992 had a net negative rating of -17.

Most have low opinions of the two political parties as a whole as well -- though the Republican Party is viewed far less favorably than the Democratic Party.

Just 28% hold a favorable opinion of the Republican Party, compared to 46% of voters who view the Democratic Party favorably. Overall, 66% of Americans have a negative view of the GOP, which CBS says matches the lowest rating ever recorded in CBS polling.

The CBS/NYT poll also surveyed voters on hypothetical general election match-ups.

In a Clinton-Trump election, Clinton leads the billionaire businessman by 10 points. Against Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Clinton is ahead by 3 points. And her lead disappears when matched up against Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who would beat Clinton by 4 points.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Clinton's primary rival, performs better in a hypothetical contest with Trump. He leads the Republican front-runner by 15 points due to his strong support among independent voters, according to the poll..."

Feel the Bern says he wants trade opened up between America and Cuba because it will be good economically. Free trade good.

Feel the Bern wants free trade stifled for America with other countries because it will harm America. Free trade bad.
