Cruz's Tax Plans Seen Aiding Wealthy, Costing $8.6 Trillion http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/a...lans-seen-aiding-wealthy-costing-8-6-trillion
I had a student loan in graduate school and paid it off as soon as I graduated and got a job. Others got second jobs to pay theirs. What's this new fad "I borrowed and spent the money but now I don't want to keep my commitment and pay, let someone else pay for me?"
When you went to school, getting and paying for your education was probably within your means. Now, unless you become a corporate drone, try paying off anything close to resembling your debt. I understand your point that if you want something you should work to earn it. But the current system is beyond ridiculous.
LOL! Just make up numbers. $8.6 Trillion...sure, nitro. Smoke on, bro. the liberal Citizens for Tax Justice said it would produce a $16.2 trillion shortfall... hahahahaa....
the criticism is all based on assumptions in models... which are always slanted toward the bias of those doing the modeling. its all guess work. how the hell do these budget people know what future revenues will be in an an economy that could be unleashed via more savings and more efficient spending and more money in consumers pockets. Why the hell does the media and the left have to lie about everything. Why can't the headline say... interesting idea.. might be better might be worse, we don't really know.
"The Tax Policy Center (TPC) is a non-partisan research center based in Washington D.C.[1] A joint venture of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, it aims to provide independent analyses of current and longer-term tax issues, and to communicate its analyses to the public and to policymakers. The Center combines national specialists in tax, expenditure, budget policy, and microsimulation modeling to concentrate on five overarching areas of tax policy: fair, simple and efficient taxation, social policy in the tax code, business tax reform, long-term implications of tax and budget choices, and state tax issues." "The Brookings Institution is an American think tank based on Embassy Row in Washington, D.C.,[1] USA. One of Washington's oldest think tanks, Brookings conducts research and education in the social sciences, primarily in economics, metropolitan policy, governance, foreign policy, and global economy and development.[2][3] In the University of Pennsylvania's 2014 Global Go To Think Tanks Report, Brookings is ranked the most influential think tank in the world.[4] "Its stated mission is to "provide innovative and practical recommendations that advance three broad goals: strengthen American democracy; foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Americans; and secure a more open, safe, prosperous, and cooperative international system".[1] "Brookings states that its staff "represent diverse points of view" and describes itself as non-partisan,[1][5] while the media sometimes describes Brookings as "liberal".[6] An academic analysis of Congressional records from 1993 to 2002 found that Brookings was referenced by conservative politicians almost as frequently as liberal politicians, earning a score of 53 on a 1–100 scale with 100 representing the most liberal score.[7] The same study found Brookings to be the most frequently cited think tank by the U.S. media and politicians.[7]"
I love how all of the policy research centers on both sides of the political spectrum call themselves non-partisan. Especially when they all are funded by wealthy people on one political extreme or the other.
