you and me both, if by some miracle or indictment Bernie gets the nomination I'm getting off my butt and voting not just for Bernie but a straight democrat ticket (even though I promised I would never vote for a republican or democrat again.) If it's Trump against Hillary I don't know what I will do (other than never in a million years would I vote for Hillary (but I might just not vote) even though I think she is the most knowledgeable of all the candidates about the dangers of the world we are living in now.) If it's Trump against Bernie? That would be cool.
I take back the good things I thought about bernie. Apparently he has ties to soros... and is being advised by some of worst economic advisers possible. http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...illionaires-but-has-unreported-ties-to-soros/ Sanders’ 2011 panel on Federal Reserve reform included Nobel Prize-winning Columbia University economics professor Joseph Stiglitz, a proponent of substantial government regulation of the economy. Stiglitz has been involved in numerous projects with Soros and serves on the boards of numerous Soros organizations, including the billionaire’s signature Open Society Foundation. Stiglitz conducted teach-ins at Occupy Wall Street, which was reportedly launched by theSoros-funded Adbusters magazine. It is instructive to note that Sanders is backed by a coalition calling itself “People for Bernie,” which states it consists of “veteran grassroots organizers of Occupy Wall Street, and are joined by many energized brothers and sisters we have met along the way.” Stiglitz, meanwhile, also served in President Bill Clinton’s administration as a member of the presidential cabinet of advisers and chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. He was credited with helping to define an economic philosophy referred to as the “third way,” which holds that business and government should be “partners,” while recognizing that government intervention cannot always correct the limitations of financial markets. Discover the Networks criticized the theory thusly: “In short, Big Business would own the economy (as under capitalism), while Big Government would run it (as under socialism). Corporations would be persuaded to comply with government directives through subsidies, tax breaks, customized legislation, and other special privileges.” On Sept. 17, 2010, Stiglitz delivered a lecture to the Swiss and Global Asset Management group accompanied by a Power Point presentation – reviewed in full by Breitbart News – calling for a “New Global Economic Order” in which the world is “no longer dominated by one ‘superpower.’” Stiglitz has criticized President Obama as being “too conservative” to assert a progressive economic vision, and “too afraid to take the bold kind of action that President Roosevelt took” during the Great Depression, MSNBC reported.
you had to read an article to know that? Trump represents the death of ivory tower economists and idealogs. The only ideal Trump and Hillary adhere to is win at any cost.
I have to admit his anti wall street rhetoric fooled me. I thought he was different. Stiglitz and soros are some of the worst of anti liberty cronies. We should be wary.
Jem. I can't understand this animosity toward Soros. He is one of my heroes, and in my mind one of the greatest champions of personal liberty alive today. I am baffled by your thinking with regard to Soros.
then you don't understand what he means by open society., did you read what stiglitz supports. Cronies and Govt working together to run things. (in other words Rollerball's {the orginal one} vision of the future with corporations in charge of the world and your life.) then you add soros plans to the the mix. Govt and Cronies working together to undermine the west's liberty supporting institutions and create one world govt at the top. effectively removing the people from the decision makers, limiting people's control over their gov't and the decisions being made - the officials owned by the cronies. Essentially a system for eviscerating our rights as individuals, removing our constitutional liberties... but allowing people to smoke pot. That is what Soros means by open society. Open to do what he and his banker friends tell you to do with your lives... and if you don't like it you can go through life stoned but your vote won't mean shit and you won't even see the people making the decisions... so how can you and your non stoned buddies revolt?
I apologize for lumping all stoned people together. I realize not every stoner just checks out. At times I am jealous of the guys in Ocean Beach in San Diego... who live low stress, low output lives... find some pretty or nice or clean granola chick, live in an old place and maybe have an old vw van and surf. However, having been surf buddies with some of those guys years ago, I know that after a while the stress gets to most of them too. Now I have to get back to work.
You baffle me sometimes. I haven't a clue what you are talking about. But then when you got off on that business about the Fed being privately owned, I was just as baffled. I think you may be getting your information filtered through third parties that have an agenda. I have always found it best to go directly to the source of information. May I respectfully suggest going to Amazon and ordering one or two books written by George Soros (there are many) if you are interested in accurate information regarding his political philosophy and philanthropy.
thanks to obamacare I no longer work 40 hours a week anymore. Feel the Bern and never have to work fulltime again. I can buy a new dodge minivan for about half what it would cost me for a primo vintage VW van. You never know what invesments are going to pay off. My neighbors worked hard to invest in a good public education for me and this is all they got. I just want the vending rights for the Feel the Bern Woodstock Reunion
