Probably a couple years ago under a different web address and with a partner it was just as wrong. I got the old well come in one more time I was just off that week. This was his partner that I did the trial through, but the partner seems to have gone away. Oh well this thread keeps me entertained when the markets get dull.
The true purpose of this site is to make Baron money unfortunately. Actually, I find it poor entertainment but it is addicting, so I need a twelve step program. I was stupid enough to believe serious people traded serious money here but I was wrong. It's all about the money. That explains the bias of the moderators- they are doing what they are told to do- make money. What other logical explanation is there? Just answer me this: why would a serious site permit this sort of thing? and don't give me the "free speech" thing. To me, making money is serious business. I always resented people who say they "play" the market. Isn't Elite Trader just a misnomer?
One of the problems with a site that lets people post for free is that we may see things we do not like and there is not much we can do about it. I like this site very much. No one is forcing you to read this thread, or to stay on ET at all for that matter.
RE: >That explains the bias of the moderators- they are >doing what they are told to do- make money. What >other logical explanation is there? I think the moderators here are just doing what they are NOT paid to do... let things run until they get too out of hand and then relegate to Chit Chat. JB
Let me add my two cents: I don't get paid. Baron's single guideline is that only paid advertisers get to promote their services. I have no problem with that, and actually consider it resonable. I help Baron because I find he is running a helpful site and that I have learned from the people Iv'e met here. This is my way of returning the "favor".
Completely wrong. Moderators are volunteers and have no financial interest in this site whatsoever. I don't know Baron and have exchanged perhaps 3 PM's with him over the last 4 years. If he were to "tell" me what to do in order to "make money" he would be told where to go, politely of course. If you try looking around this site, instead of just hanging out in this thread with traderbrad, perhaps you will see that there is a lot more going on with some "real traders". PS. In the interest of full disclosure, Baron did send me a T-shirt once as a token of his gratitude.
