What edition do you have? I read in Amazon reviews that edition 5, maybe 6 are the only ones worth getting. Any comment?
Yes, go with the 6th. The guy who got the rights to the book after the authors died started to ruin the book from the 7th edition .
This book is in the reading list of CMT level 1 exam and it is like you need to read the whole book for the exam: http://docs.mta.org/cmt/reading/cmt-level1-fall2012.pdf CMT is the most authorized exam for TA. There is no way you can say this book is not important or not a foundation of TA. I am not saying I believe TA works at all.
CMT is a credential gotten from the MTA. MTA is a scam pseudo-professional organization created to get money from gullible technicians who believe they're getting some kind of professional status. It has nothing to do with valid TA except by accident. A lot of TA is invalid, but that doesn't mean all of it is. Practicing TA "without a license" (a CMT certificate) is not a crime, unlike practicing medicine, law, plumbing or any other true profession.
That is authorized TA organization and they believe this book is one of the most important TA books. You may have your own TA definition but that is not what this topic about and we have no idea what is your own TA.
Authorized by who? The tooth fairy? LOL They have no authority. Why does this confuse you? Have you also drunk the MTA kool-aid? To practice medicine, you need a license from the state. To practice plumbing, you need a license from the state. To practice TA, you don't need jackshit from anybody.
Can you name any TA organization that is most popular and more authorized? There are other TA organizations but their main principles are not much different from MTA. If you cannot name another organization or even single person has more authorization in TA field then MTA is the most accepted one.
What authorization? Do you even know what that word means? Geez, you are one of the densest mooks to ever pollute this site. Your thread, my mistake being here. Goodbye.
