In a shocking development, the Twitter account for the Arizona vote fraudit has been suspended for posting lies about the election.

Twitter Permanently Suspended Eight Accounts That Had Been Promoting Pro-Trump "Audits" Of The 2020 Election

Twitter has permanently suspended eight accounts that spread former president Donald Trump’s lies about the 2020 election and pushed for partisan “audits” to find evidence to support those falsehoods, the platform's latest suspensions directed at the audits.

Among those suspended was the official Twitter account for the ongoing, Republican-led audit in Arizona, which is being overseen by a contractor who has spread false conspiracy theories, including in a recent pro-Trump movie. The Arizona audit has been a popular tourist destination for conservative lawmakers from across the country hoping to emulate it in their home states, including several who were in Washington, DC, on Jan. 6. The official audit account had spread misinformation about the 2020 election.

Additionally, a trolly account known as @AuditWarRoom, which had also spread misinformation and attacked officials who were critical of the Arizona audit and reporters covering it, was suspended. The owner of that account, who is unknown, had recently set up five other “War Room” accounts pushing for audits in Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania as well as a separate Arizona-specific account, all of which were also suspended by the social media platform.

In a statement to BuzzFeed News, Twitter said the accounts were permanently suspended for violating the Twitter rules on platform manipulation and spam. The company did not say when the suspensions took effect, but it appears that it happened on Tuesday afternoon. The Audit War Room’s Instagram account, which was still live at the time of publication, posted about the suspension at 1:30 p.m. and then directed followers to its accounts on Telegram and Gettr, two social media sites favored by the far right. Instagram did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether the Audit War Room account, which screenshots its own tweets, violates its rules.

Twitter had previously suspended the account of Voices and Votes, a dark-money organization founded by OAN reporters Christina Bobb and Chanel Rion to raise money for the Arizona audit, even as Bobb reported on the audit for the network. Twitter confirmed Tuesday that the account's suspension is also permanent and resulted from violating its rules on platform manipulation and spam.

Voices and Votes’ website says it is continuing to raise money to support the Arizona audit as well as efforts to start similar audits in other Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Bobb did not respond to a request for comment on when the Voices and Votes account was suspended. Voices and Votes’ Instagram account and Bobb’s personal Twitter account, where she has also spread false information about the election, are still live. Instagram did not immediately respond to a request about the Voices and Votes account either.

The audit accounts are just one way that pro-Trump figures have continued to push the lie that the election was stolen from him. The audit in Arizona and efforts to recreate it in other states are central storylines on OAN and in other far-right media, including Gateway Pundit and former Trump strategist Steve Bannon’s podcast. The former president frequently praises the audit efforts in statements emailed to the media, and it was a central focus of his rally in Arizona last weekend.

Meanwhile, elections officials across the country are forced to combat a deluge of misinformation and blame social media, including Twitter, for its spread and making their jobs harder, according to a Brennan Center survey of elections officials published last month. Arizona’s Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, whose office was targeted by the audit’s official account, faced death threats to the extent that Republican Gov. Doug Ducey ordered protective services for her in May and, according to the Brennan Center survey, she is hardly the only election official being threatened.

Too lengthy to take time to read. Let's let the audit play out and we can discuss the results when made public. You are actually legitimizing the audit with your attacks by the way.

Justice Department puts states on notice about post-election audits and election law changes
    https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/28/politics/justice-department-election-audit/index.html

The Justice Department on Wednesday put states and local officials on notice of their federal obligations when conducting post-election audits and dictating the rules for casting ballots.

The department released two new election guidance documents. They come as Arizona Republicans are in the midst of a controversial review of the 2020 results in the state's largest county, and while state GOP lawmakers across the country consider restrictive voting legislation.

"This document sets down a marker that says the Justice Department is concerned about this and we will be following this closely," a department official said Wednesday.

The DOJ audit memo addressed two main concerns: that election records are properly retained and preserved in accordance with civil rights law, and that audit procedures don't have the intent or effect of intimidating voters.
The guidance document references the plan -- for now, abandoned -- in the Arizona audit to contact voters in person or over the phone and collect information about how they cast their ballots.

"This sort of activity raises concerns regarding potential intimidation of voters," the DOJ's guidance said, while promising that the department "will act" if post-election audits are conducted in a way that has the "purpose nor the effect of dissuading qualified citizens from participating in the electoral process."

Already, the Justice Department has sent Arizona lawmakers a letter warning them of potential federal law violations in the audit's procedures.

"The reason we are issuing this guidance is to tell jurisdictions, generally, that we are concerned that if they're going to conduct these audits -- these so-called audits of the past elections -- they have to comply with federal law," the DOJ official said.

The official declined to comment on any investigation that might be going into post-election audits.

Eyes on reverting to pre-Covid voting rules
A second guidance memo covers federal voting laws as they affect how ballots are cast. It noted that the pandemic changed the way that people voted, with voters flocking to mail voting and early in-person voting.

The guidance memo emphasized that the Justice Department will not presume any reversion back to previous voting procedures to be automatically lawful.

"What we're just saying to jurisdictions is ...you should not assume that if you abandon the practices that have made it easier for people to vote, that abandonment is not going to get scrutiny from the Department of Justice," the official said.

The federal document on post-election audits make it clear that the DOJ will be coming after the "fraudit" firms and supporting politicians due to their lack of documented process, failure to provide traceability, as well as the destruction & failure to retain ballots in the proper custodial method as required by federal law.

Let's just take a look at one paragraph from the Federal Law Constraints on Post-Election “Audits” document. Note the even the DOJ puts the Audits in quotes knowing they are dealing with "fraudits" and not professional audits.

There are federal criminal penalties attached to willful failures to comply with the retention and
preservation requirements of the Civil Rights Act. First, Section 301 itself makes it a federal crime for
“[a]ny officer of election” or “custodian” of election records to willfully fail to comply with the retention
and preservation requirements. 52 U.S.C. § 20701. Second, Section 302 provides that any “person,
whether or not an officer of election or custodian, who willfully steals, destroys, conceals, mutilates, or
alters any record or paper” covered by Section 301’s retention and preservation requirement is subject
    to federal criminal penalties.

You can have your cake and eat it too. Reality comes quick and slaps your hard. At some point it becomes impossible to continually spin your false narrative and the big lie.

If you did not cheat, if you have nothing to hide---you should be assisting the audit, not obstructing it? In addition, decertifying the machines subjected to audit, is a pre-emptive attempt to shift blame on the auditors if they find the machines have, in fact been tampered with? Election officials have gone on to even suggest that the election machines have been tampered by the auditors? Who had control of those machines? The election officials who ran the November 3, 2020 elections. Again, why do they continue to obstruct and discredit the audit instead, of supporting it? Seems like the actions of people who know they did something underhanded and about to be found out! FBI and DOJ do your jobs and prosecute the election cheats. Should not matter if they are elected elections officials---nobody is above the law.
