Have you ever heard of people called "Never-Trumpers"?

Yet, Trump chose to let the audit continue since he had done nothing wrong and knew it. It's the same for The Arizona audit. If nothing was done wrong, then there shouldn't be any resistance to letting it play out.

How would you know? You also claimed to know 2018 and 2020 election results which were demonstrably false.

Maricopa County just made Karen Fann and her Senate ninja auditors look like fools
Opinion: The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors proves that not all Republicans have lost their ever-living minds. They called for an end to the Senate audit that has made Arizona a 'laughingstock.'

Whoa. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors isn’t fooling around.

This GOP-dominated board on Monday proved that not all Republicans have lost their ever-living minds since Nov. 3, when Donald Trump lost the election.

The supervisors took the Arizona Senate’s Cyber Ninja auditors to school on how elections are run. And as for Senate President Karen Fann, the person who ordered this bizarre proctological exam of Maricopa County’s vote?

They made her look like an absolute fool. Actually, they didn't make her look at like a fool. She did that all by herself.

Senate audit was a disaster from the start
This, by hiring conspiracy mongers to conduct what state GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward is calling "America's audit" and Supervisors’ Chairman Jack Sellers is calling “grift disguised as an audit.”

“You have rented out the once good name of the Arizona State Senate to grifters and con-artists, who are fundraising hard-earned money from our fellow citizens even as your contractors parade around the Coliseum, hunting for bamboo and something they call ‘kinematic artifacts’ while shining purple lights for effect,” they wrote, in a letter to Fann that was signed by all five supervisors along with County Recorder Stephen Richer, Sheriff Paul Penzone, Treasurer John Allen, Assessor Eddie Cook and Superintendent Steve Watson.

“None of these things are done in a serious audit. The result is that the Arizona Senate is held up to ridicule in every corner of the globe and our democracy is imperiled.”

Bravo, amen and ain’t that the truth?

Fann plans to livestream her response at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

This audit has had disaster written all over it from the moment Fann bowed to the conspiracy crowd and hired Trump’s ninjas to audit an already audited election.

Fann, R-Prescott, has repeatedly said this exercise in embarrassment isn’t about overturning the state's election results. But that’s exactly what it’s always has been about, whether she knew it or not.

County painstakingly refutes Fann's 'serious issues'

Last week, she even called county officials on the carpet, demanding that they appear before her to explain “serious issues” her auditors have discovered:

Things like why voter files were deleted before the servers were turned over to the Senate, which the Senate’s own audit Twitter account called “spoilation of evidence”.

And why seals on bags of ballots were broken.

And why the number of actual ballots in a batch is sometimes smaller than the number shown on the “pink report slip” accompanying each batch.

On Monday, the county released a 14-page letter and 17 pages of accompanying documentation that shows, among other things:

    • That no voter files were deleted before the servers were turned over the Senate, as auditors claim. The county went into the sort of detail that only a computer geek could love about why the auditors might not be able to find the records, suggesting that they either lost the files or don’t how to locate the files.

“Their stunning lack of a basic understanding for how their software works is egregious and only made worse by the false tweet sent defaming the hardworking employees of Maricopa County,” the county said, in its letter to Fann.

    • That the broken seals on ballot bags were standard operating procedure. Election day ballots are counted in polling places then sealed into black canvas bags and transported, along with a memory card showing the vote count, by bipartisan teams to the county’s elections headquarters. The bags (other than those used for sample audits) remain sealed until after the election is certified and the challenge period is over. Then, bipartisan teams break the seals and put them into newly sealed boxes for long-term storage.

    • The “pink slips” – called “Early Voting Transmittal Slips” – do not reflect missing ballots. “Because it is obvious that your contractors have no understanding of these matters,” the county wrote, “a brief tutorial is in order.”

Cyber Ninjas have no idea what they're doing
The county went into great detail explaining the process but basically, it boils down to this: Ballots that cannot be read by tabulation machines are removed from their batches and sent to a bipartisan Ballot Duplication Board where a duplicate ballot is created and counted, as required by law.

What it also boils down to is this:

Fann turned over our ballots, our voter information and the county’s tabulation machinery to a bunch of Trump zealots who don’t know what they are doing.

So you’ll have to excuse the supervisors if they don’t show up Tuesday on Fann’s carpet or contribute in any way to the “spectacle” that is taking place at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in between high school graduations.

"I just want to make it clear I will not be responding to any more requests from this sham process,” Sellers said. “Finish what you're calling an audit, and be ready to defend your report."

County officials asked Fann to end the audit, which “has devolved into a circus.”

“You are using purple lights and spinning tables,” they wrote. “You are hunting for bamboo. These are not things that serious auditors of elections do.

“You are photographing ballots contrary to the laws that the Senate helped enact, and you are sending those images to unidentified places and people. You have repeatedly lost control of your twitter account, which has tweeted things that appear to be the rantings of a petulant child – not the serious statements of a serious audit.

“None of this is inspiring confidence.”

Mostly, it’s just inspiring late-night comics.

This is the type of response one would expect from folks whose work is being audited. ----What's the real reason that you don't want the audit to continue?
