Republican ‘election crybabies’ want to split Maricopa County after Cyber Ninjas ‘audit’ flopped https://www.rawstory.com/republicans-maricopa-county-arizona/ For fifteen months, Arizona Republicans closest to Donald Trump have cast aspersions on the election in Phoenix's Maricopa County — the state's largest. Even after the widely-panned Cyber Ninjas "audit" of the vote confirmed Joe Biden beat Donald Trump, Republicans have continued to attack urban votes as somehow not as legitimate as those from rural counties. Laurie Roberts, columnist for The Arizona Republic, sounded the alarm over the "latest plan by the election crybabies at the Arizona Legislature." Roberts explained how state Rep. Jake Hoffman has introduced a plan to split Maricopa County into four, smaller counties: Maricopa, Mogollon, O'odham, and Hohokam. "Maybe you’ve heard of this esteemed stateman. Before getting elected to the Legislature in 2020, Hoffman was running what amounts to an internet troll farm – paying teenagers to post conservative talking points and baseless conspiracy theories aimed at getting President Donald Trump reelected. Hoffman’s Rally Forge paid teens, some of them minors, to set up fake personas and blanket social media with thousands of nearly identical posts designed to undermine confidence in the validity of election and downplay the impact of COVID-19," she explained. "In other words, Hoffman wanted to fool you into thinking these were real people spontaneously expressing deeply held conservative beliefs instead of what they were — a group of kids being paid to deceive you." Roberts noted that Hoffman was one of Trump's phony electors after Republicans lost Arizona. "Normally, I would say this bill has no chance of seeing the light of day, but do not underestimate the level of Republican legislative anger at their brethren on the GOP-run Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, the ones who dared to speak the truth when Republicans all around them were clinging to conspiracy theories," Roberts explained. "Hopefully, House Speaker Rusty Bowers, and Mesa Republican and one of the few adults over at crybaby central, will consign this bill to the same fate as Rep. John Fillmore's proposal to allow the Legislature to simply veto the results of any election it doesn’t like." The bill is co-sponsored by House Majority Leader Ben Toma, Senate Majority Leader Warren Petersen, Reps. Travis Grantham, John Kavanagh, and Justin Wilmeth along with Sens. Sine Kerr, David Livingston, and J.D. Mesnard.

'Wendy Rogers, you're a joke!' Election worker shouts down pro-Trump lawmaker at Arizona hearing https://www.rawstory.com/wendy-rogers-election-hearing/ Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers (R), an outspoken conspiracy theorist about the 2020 presidential election, was scolded by an election worker on a series of bills that would overhaul the state's election system. At a Senate Government Committee hearing on Monday, Rogers presented two bills that would ban voting machines and would ban foreign-made components in all other election equipment. The bills would require all of Arizona's ballots to be counted by hand. For her part, Rogers has falsely claimed that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump. "The only way to restore accuracy and truth to our elections is to go back to paper and to go back to manual counting of that paper," Rogers stated. A witness by the name of Brent Fine told Rogers that he had served as an election worker and he opposed her bills. "I've worked in elections offices and I'm a deputy county registrar," Fine explained. "I've registered voters for years." He called Rogers's bills "laughable." "When I take a day of training, an all-day class of training and learned how to register voters and also all my work was double-checked at the county reporter's [office]," he continued. "You want to double-check and triple-check signatures when they drop off ballots to make sure it's the same person and waste time." Fine noted that both Arizona and Utah had used very similar election processes in 2020. "They had no problem," he said. "But it's all about one person that causes all these problems. Why is all this changing now? I haven't heard any problems with security or stolen ballots or anything like that." "Let's finish your testimony," the committee chair cautioned. "We want to keep it fair for everybody." "I want to keep it fair. You can keep going on and bullshitting the people," Fine charged. At that point, the witness's microphone was muted as the chair asked security officials to remove him. But Fine continued to speak. "Wendy Rogers, you're a joke!" he shouted. Despite the protest, the committee voted to pass Rogers's bills along party lines. Watch the video below.
Let's see what Arizona "fraudit" promoter , Wendy Rodgers, is up to... Arizona Republican hyping far-right event featuring notorious white nationalist: report https://www.rawstory.com/nick-fuentes-2656686033/ The America First Political Action Conference in Orlando is receiving a major boost from a prominent Arizona Republican, The Daily Beast reported Wednesday. "Organized by white nationalist and 'Unite The Right' attendee Nick Fuentes, the conference is a watering hole for people who think the Conservative Political Action Conference (also next week) needs to use more slurs," Kelly Weill reported. "But the fringe conference is also playing footsie with elected officials, this year with Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers, who promoted the event on Telegram. It’s the second year in a row that an Arizona politician has backed the conference, putting them in league with [Tim 'Baked Alaska' Gionet] and other legally challenged extremists." The 2021 America First Political Action Conference was addressed by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ). Gosar recently defended Fuentes, who is described as a white nationalist by the Southern Poverty Law Center. "The post was far from Rogers’ first in support of Fuentes, an open bigot. ('This is going to be the most racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, Holocaust-denying speech in all of Dallas this weekend,' Fuentes boasted of one of his upcoming speeches after he was kicked out of CPAC in 2021.) Rogers has authored at least two dozen fawning posts about Fuentes, according to Left Coast Right Watch," The Beast reported. "Fuentes has returned the favor, using Rogers’ posts to hype AFPAC and even hinting that the state senator might be involved, researcher Arizona Right Wing Watch reported." The conference is seen as a vehicle for Republicans to reach out to younger racists. "Both Gosar and Rogers have well-documented ties to the militant right, particularly the paramilitary group the Oath Keepers. Rogers announced her membership to the group several years ago and gave a speech for members in March 2021, while Gosar allegedly told an Arizona Oath Keepers leader that the U.S. was already in a civil war, 'we just haven’t started shooting yet.' But their friendliness with Fuentes and his “America First” movement signals an effort to ingratiate themselves with a younger generation of racists—an effort both cringe-worthy and at times downright dangerous for the Arizona politicians’ constituents," The Beast reported.
