We have been talking water temps. You are trying to introduce and entirely new data set to the issue. Which is bullshit. How the hell do you know that the oceans is not being warmed by underwater volcanoes and other passages... which by venting the core are actually cooling down the earth. You fricken agw guys seize on every piece of natural variability and try to spin it into warming and then discount all the pieces which indicate cooling. its a big fricken joke / deception by you big govt leftists...
It's not new, it just didn't have the focus when land temps were increasing so rapidly. But since CO2 is a greenhouse gas, and its level is increasing, scientists had to figure out where the heat was going, if not on land. Fortunately, some measurement of ocean temps has been going on for decades, so they didn't have to start from scratch.
Earth is very self-regulating. Do some computations on the volume of air that has gone through automobile engines sometime, you will be aghast. The earth has adjusted for that and keeps us with enough oxygen to continue on. I'm not advocating low-efficiency gas-producing energy sources but I'm saying that earth is a self-regulating thingy. Disclaimer: There is little political meat for the sausage grinder in anything that I believe in. I admit that, as a Bible Reader, I am completely useless to the Left and 99% useless to the Right and am therefore, in many people's eyes a useless person worthy of only scorn. I don't advocate freezing and starving in the dark as a way to preserve the earth, sex addiction with regard to anal penetration, redistribution of wealth beyond field gleaning, taxation beyond 5% of the GNP, any intervention in foreign affairs beyond prayer, and I really can't stand touchy-feely asshole people that have to help everybody via my paycheck.
Yeah... but you got it all screwed up now. As the temps warm the oceans release co2. you have no science showing co2 causes the oceans to warm. before you at least had crazy models to show co2 causes land temps to warm. You have nothing now to explain that ocean warming is not part of natural variability.
