Let us know when you have something to say. AAPL is a short at the open on the day before the iPad3 announcement.
Actually, I see now that the newest iphone has the wifi hotspot capability. Hmm, $250 for an upgrade. Maybe, I'll pass the HTC over to my wife, rather than buying her a new phone. Edit: Only the 4s has the hotspot, and it costs an extra $400. See that's the trouble with Apple; its really expensive for what you're actually getting.
I'll definitely look to see if that happens. Hopefully I'll have sold my calls by then. Any particular reason why?
My iPhone4, not the 4s, has an incredible camera on it, and I use it for videos sometimes on my youtube. If you're not into the 4s, the 4 is a really good model, too. It's invaluable from my standpoint because it uses the logmein app to access my pc from my iPhone. I find that ingenious because I have remotely traded before and unless the pc goes berserk it's very reliable. The iPhone3 and virtually every other model I know have has wifi capability but you really don't need that since you're required to have a dataplan for your phone anyway.
Yeah, there is a premium assigned on services. Comes with the territory when being the market-leader. The carriers don't have to sell the phone as an access point, so they don't. If you want 100k apps then buy the iPhone and get an LTE hotspot. If you can live with Android Market then keep the Android. I bought the 4G hotspot to use with the MBP, iPhone and iPad. An extra $60 but worth the premium for me.
No, you don't understand. Wifi "hotspot". In other words the iphone becomes a hotspot like you can get in a coffee shop. This allows a wifi capable device like your laptop to use your phone's internet and data plan. You need to learn about these things, Beau, so you can do your trading while sitting in your boat out in the middle of the lake/river/ocean!
I can live without the apps. For my needs, the android apps available are more than enough, and for the price the HTC desire HD is superior to the iphones. Last I looked it was actually rated better. That's one of the reasons why I bought it. The hotspot capability is a must for me. It has saved me many times since I got this phone.
I use that as I am rarely not at my home or office. But at least on Verizon it's not 4G LTE. It's 3G. It's $20/month and no extra devices. So it works for me. If I travelled more, I would spring for the 4G hotspot.
Topic dilution trollery by the stalkers... Nice try. Like Nine_Ender and his sockpuppet multi nicks, bwolinsky repeatedly conflates TA analysis/commentary with actual trades. This demonstrates intentional malicious conduct and/or appalling ignorance by bwolinsky who has no TA knowledge. I never made any AAPL trade recommendation - short or long. Are his broker clients or the SEC aware of this appalling conduct on public forums ? Disclosure: no AAPL position held. http://stockmarket618.wordpress.com/2012/02/18/sat-feb-18 Brokerage / management fees / commissions... Stockbrokers / investment advisors... I'm not interested in semantics. We all know how brokers / investment advisors obtain income and it's not from trading their own account. Please note I did not initiate conflict with bwolinsky. bwolinsky is solely responsible as he/she chose to troll my threads and stalk me. This fact can not be disputed.
Bhardy, it does that. I know what a wifi hotspot is, and I use it at home. Bear in mind, if you ever want to use FaceTime, then you only do that through Wi-Fi. I guarantee this is the reason why all iPhone 4's on have them, because they have to in order to do facetime.
