The anti-business president's pro-business recovery

  1. No wonder you so desperately defend Obama's socialist welfare state agenda.

  2. 1 - Your own charts show the severity of this recession - the economy was, in fact, in total free fall - was in place when Obama took office.
It's not in total free fall today. The proof of this is that business interests have gone back to their default position of being for anything the Republicans say, and against anything the Democrats say. In 1933 and again in 2009, there was a brief period when this wasn't true, since at those points business realized that something needed to be done. But once that something was done, it was back to, quite literally, business as usual.

2 - It's a complete contradiction for the right to keep on saying

    a) to continue the Bush tax cuts unconditionally while
    b) berating Obama over the deficit.

One or the other. Sane people realize this. Only the radical Republicans - which at this point is the entire Republican party - are incapable of grasping this very simple point, which in arithmetic terms amounts to pointing out that 2 + 2 = 4, not 5.

  3. The only "proper" republicans to a liberal are those that agree with everything libs do.

  4. Obama's promise that the stimulus would keep unemployment below 8% shows yet again that Obama is in over his head and that wasteful government spending isn't the answer.

Sane people realize this; they also realize that you can't tax your way to prosperity. Taxes should not be raised now, spending should be cut. Obama's got us on track to TRIPLE the national debt by 2020 and sane people recognize that's bad. So STOP the socialist welfare state agenda and we'll pull out of this just like we always have.

  5. I notice you didn't answer the 2nd point. Nice politician's way of skirting the issue.
We all have our POV's, and I can do all kinds of charts, just like you can.
But, is it or is it not a contradiction to at the same time yell about the deficit AND call for the Bush tax cuts to continue unconditionally? Does 2 + 2 = 4 or 5?

Only the radical left would leave out less spending as part of the equation to reduce the deficits.

  7. Then the Repubs must be radical left since they have nothing concrete instead of generalizations when it comes to cutting spending.

Not sure about radical but certainly left. :(

Repubs won't be able to do anything until after the fall elections, and that's a stretch.

  9. Anyone who believes this president and the democrats running congress are pro business must be delusional. It's typical of their contempt for the intelligence of voters that they even make these claims.

Make no mistake, this administration is deeply hostile to private business, investors, stock ownership and the whole idea of personal success that is not derived from some government program.
