NG - someone here called out it had a confirmed 5NL a while back ... I had a score of +10 on the 5NL unconfirmed on other time frames when NG was at 3.6~ and it never looked back after that. Anyone catch it ?

Anyone watching the VIX? Volatility/VIX products are looking interesting despite the fact that they've already made a huge move. XIV confirmed for me last week, made a monthly A up today with the monthly reset also confirmed now.

Cotton anyone? At weekly A down currently with good NLs at least for me.

Cotton is flat for me number line wise and failed at the QTR A up several times. I'm watching it but the grains are faaaar more interesting right now.

Yeah I had +12 on 30d NL and it was at weekly and daily A down so I thought that could be a good fade. But it made A down and on the way to weekly A down...
Grains are definitely strong even with all those talks about supply. But I just feel that commodities in general are getting a bit stronger. Another one interesting could be sugar - made weekly A up, 5d NL +7 and failed to continue with a trend which for me shows possibility of trend reversal. Silver is also kinda look nice for after all that drop.

Yeah, I called that one out.

No, I didn't trade it. I was cautious due to it having made a solid monthly A down (and was below the QTR level for a bit) so I figured I'd wait until Nov before I considered trading it. As it happens it never gave me a chance because it took off like a rocket.

I should note I am more of a macro trader so I may have missed a good entry or two on the smaller timeframes. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the temperament to manage trades around intraday or weekly levels.

Hmm one of many things I learned here :) ISEE spiked up a bit and AAAI sentiment survey is much more bullish than historical average. It looks like everyone is very bullish and we are at new highs after a wild recovery.

  9. Hello fellow HomeGamers,

A few end of week number lines with monthly, quarterly and yearly stats of a few broad market ETF and related Mutual Funds: (Note: If I don’t mention a symbol it’s neutral.) I’m keeping far more ETF’s than posted and if there’s an interest I’ll add a few going forward.

DIA: Short term NL's confirmed positive on the 10/27/14 and 30 day on 11/7/14.

IJK: 30 day confirmed on 11/4/14.

KBE: Short term NL’s confirmed on 11/12/14. However, its high that day was 33.95 and my Monthly A Up is 33.81. For now I think it’s shot its wad and expect a short term neutral this week.

KRE: Short term NL’s confirmed positive on 10/31/14 but went neutral on Friday. Interestingly, its high on the 12th was 41.12 and that’s my exact Monthly A Up. If one had short termed this on its pullback on the 4th it wasn’t too bad.

XLP: Short term NL’s confirmed positive on 10/21/14 and 30 day on 11/5/14.

XLE: 30 negative confirmed on 10/8/14.

XLB: Short term neutral on Tuesday (was negative). 30 day negative on 9/9/14.

IYR: Short term neutral and 30 day positive since 10/28/14.

XLK: Short term positive on Wednesday and 30 day confirmed on 10/28/14.

XLU: Short term NL’s confirmed positive on 10/20/14 and 30 day on 11/6/14.

JJC: Short term NL’s confirmed positive on 10/13/14 and 30 day the next day.

UNG: Short term NL’s confirmed positive on 10/29/14 and 30 day the next day.

GLD: Short term negative on 8/14/14 and 30 day on 8/21/14.

SLX: Short term negative on 8/15/14 and 30 day on 8/25/14.

OIH: 30 day negative since 8/12/14.

IEF: Short term negative on the 12th.

XIV: Short term positive on the 12th.

  10. Mav, some questions if I may.

    1) Which futures spreads would you recommend for beginners? Some are apparently easy to lose your shirt on. I have dabbled with CL calendar spreads, slow moving at that time.
    2) Are you familiar with any of these books? Some are old.

If you're ever in the mood to write a long piece on ACD and Futures spreads, it would be most welcome.
