Many people think ACD takes a lot of time, but I don't think so. Having scored literally tens of thousands of charts, the scoring process is quite rapid for me. What takes much more time is interpreting what the numbers tell me, relating them to what I see on the charts and the levels I have on them. For this you get out of it only as much as you put in, so I don't rush it. Indeed if I don't have time to do proper prep, I don't enter trades on that day. As for other costs, I'm not sure what you mean. I pay for Sierra Charts, $40/month for package 5, because I really need it for extracting data and ease of plotting levels. Even if I didn't use ACD I reckon I'd still be paying for this so I don't see it as additional cost.
Great question. Back on 2/2/12 CoolTraderDude asked a similar question and Mav's response put me on the road to trading profits with the 4, 9, 18 moving average crossover system. I'll re-post it below: Quote from CoolTraderDude: So does this method work...? What's the verdict of you guys using it with live money...? It seems really complex and there are way easier ways to trade... I also don't think that there is any significance to the opening bar... No, it doesn't work. Avoid it at all costs! Three words for you to look up...moving average crossovers. You'll thank me later!
Hello HomeGamers, It’s a good thing you haven’t acted on any of my signals because I’ve completely changed my number line approach. I sort of started from scratch a few weeks back and found some number line patterns that, when combined with weekly and monthly A levels for confirmation, have really got me pumped. Pasts results have been stellar and of course I’ll use these revised signal/confirmations in my retirement funds going forward. I’ve put a few of the signals on the attached (they are cherry picked but I’ll add them all later and make calls as they occur).
