Notable moves in both ES and CL today. ES failed at its WAdn and ATR levels. Beautiful ride back to the OR. Perfection in CL. Failed ID ADn supported by Weekly OR and didn't have to wait too much on this one. Thanks Maverick.
I am working on my number lines now. Looking for some confirmation using today's activity. Beans closed with a good Aup so I would give it a +2. WTI failed ADn and closed with a good AUp so that's a +3. For S&Ps, I have a failed CUp and I am fuzzy on this but since it closed at the OR high actually which would make it inside the open range so I think that's a -3 (looks like the ARBA example in the book, fig 4.16). Can someone please confirm if I got this right? Also, does it make a difference (for NL purposes), if after a good ADn, market fails the CUp and closes above the OR and not inside it (if ES closed at 74 today instead of 73, for instance)? As long as it stays inside the A' boundaries, its a -3 right?
Hello Justrading, It's from the Number Line Chapter of the underground ebook: Mav the ACD Mentor, and specifically .... "05-14-12 Also, something Shan has turned me onto is not just the absolute number on the 5 day but also the net change. When you see large moves up or down 5 to 10 pts they show a strong shift in momentum. For example, DIA went from +9 to -4 from May 2nd to May 9th. A change of 13 pts in one week! That is very very bearish!"
Thanks Robert. I had no joy searching for it the last couple of days and somehow missed it in my notes. Our search function here doesn't work with '5'.
Anyone watched NG today - NL is truly atrocious (5NL, Monthly and 30NL are all confirmed down) but it found support on the ADown today and did a C up. Just pointing it out.
