Mav, my only concern is that a great thread will become fragmented. I have only skimmed dedicated threads and they seem to be mainly about making calls, which we seem to have avoided thus far.
My concern is that having too many threads will make it easier to miss something . The great thing about this method is that it works for all markets and we can pick up something new even if we don't trade that particular instrument.
I know I don't contribute much here but I find the thread very valuable and appreciate the lack of extraneous noise. With respect to separate threads, I do think you run the risk of fragmentation. While the thread has been active lately, there have been some pretty quiet stretches. I'm not sure how product threads would fare once they went quiet. I guess the main question I would ask is: "Will there be enough product specific discussion to warrant a separate thread?" In my mind, many of the product specific examples that are given here still play back into the broader context of ACD as a methodology. The opportunity to see how others apply it to various products that I may not trade is useful.
when is the book coming out, you have a gift for writing and some interesting experiences even if you did an ebook, it would be a gift especially to newer guys. Peace.
You may be right. I appreciate all the feedback. I thought it might get more people involved who trade those "specific" products. Many of them don't even know we are discussing the various products they trade over here because maybe they don't read the technical analysis forums.
