Maverick74, What constitutes a long volatility signal? I take it we aren't talking about a vix based indicator.

    Thanks, John

    OneFive, thanks for reposting that.

I don't use any VIX indicators. The vol signal is ACD based. I don't want to go into details here about it. One can probably figure it out through deductive logic.

Here is the monthly on ES. Bounced off both A levels. Pretty clean moves.

    Mav,

I don't remember from prior posts, but regarding the volatility measurement are you looking for it to reach a certain number, looking at the trend, the rate of change, etc ? I've been tracking it for a while and considering how to implement it.

    Thanks,

Medic, good to see you back!

I use it as a switch. It's either on or off. When it's on I'm not fading anything and looking for follow through on breakouts. When it's off I fade and use fade entries into long term trends.

Yes, all my ACD levels are plotted automatically. The number lines are qualitative though. So I have to input those manually.

Mav any important ACD levels in AAPL coming up? I keep wanting to catch this falling knife and the only thing saving my ass is the number line.
