    I guess I should have presented my question differently, sure market conditions can change and that will affect range bars and such but there should be a risk of loss average for any buy or sell entry and with every entry method, one has use money management to manage their risk.

  3. Again, it depends on how you trade it. If you're trading intraday based on levels your metrics will be a lot different than how Mav (and my emulation of his style) trades which tends to be macro swings coupled with number line confirmations mostly expressed in vol. One is systematic and can be backtested fairly easily while the other is more complicated and more discretionary.
