A 140-point move in the Emini over the last 12 hours.....that has to be one of the largest C ups in a couple of decades.
Mav does this have anything to do with "confirmation bias" alongside "crowd psychology" since alot media outlets/analyst where blinded both by their biases. Anyway i was reading some research paper's along so some business journals and with regards to why people vote essentially research paper broke it down charisma and personality nothing really to do with policies.The paper essentially suggested charisma played major component in deciding whom would be elected think it was weighted factor around 36%+ (major component they argued). Mav will be secretly awaiting for write up .
We traded exactly up to my MAUp around 7 PM, just before the voting results started coming in. Then all the way down - almost 40 points below my MADn, covering the average monthly range almost exactly and then back above the MAUp. So you are right, this was a MONTHLY CUp (if we disregard time restrictions). Just amazing.
We bounced off the QTR A down in the Dow and closed at all time highs in the same day! ACD on steroids.
What are your thoughts on the curve now, Mav? I've had a smallish long NOB position that was up quite "bigly" during the election but has since pretty much gone to break even. Are we expecting a retrace back up and continuation of some of what we saw duing election period time or was it a localized aberration?
Interesting dichotomy between the futures and underlying index. Cash Index charts will never reflect the violent overnight move--yesterday just looks like a slightly lower opening and straight up on a daily bar. Which is the tail and which is the dog?
I had to sell my long NOB into that massive spike. I'm looking to buy it back soon. The curve is not suppose to trade like FB. LOL. I think longer term this trade is only just beginning.
