Mav, At what point are those lines drawn on your chart? Is it like the candle closest to the beginning of the line? Just curious how that works. Thanks!
Interesting times. Note point about gap risk. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-b...=topNews&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=Social
Guys, just a little warning here.....next week.....I would be 100% in cash going into Brexit. I believe the vol move will be historic in both directions. The best trades will come AFTER brexit, not before. There is a lot of people over levered right now in the market as they are so use to this low vol market. They are going to be looking for another line of work next week, don't be one of them. This is just experience talking.
How will this impact asset pricing? Is it good news/bad news, little bit of both? I clearly need to read up more on it. I guess no Brexit taking place will cause less of an impact, but if they do exit, then we can expect some moves? Seems that would be bad for europe, right? Clearly out of the loop on the whole Brexit issue
The outcome is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is this market is over leveraged by a factor of 100X. The market will inflict the most amount of pain on as many participants as possible in the shortest amount of time possible. Events like this act as a cleansing mechanism to wash out the weak overleveraged players. You don't need to understand Brexit or the outcome, what you need to understand is volatility and risk. Make no mistake about it, ET will become very quiet after next week.
