anybody make money this morning? i sold a losing position and bought some XIV. also, legged into a put spread. the Spy Aug 28 170s were trading $3!!!! so i had to get me some of that.

wish i could have done more, but just didn't have the time before the big rally.

 

could be used as a good argument against using stop limit orders

 

I never use stop limits to exit...I've been around too long and have seen what can happen. BTW, I just finished going through the entire thread and started reading Fisher's book. I hope to contribute in the future. Thanks Mav (and other contributors, but mostly Mav) for the best thread on ET.

Not bad. We got a 53 print.

 

My flys saved me. Days like today are the best argument for using options.
