"Not even mosquitos really" implies that they exist but you may never encounter them. We have had the place in in now for years and not on e mosquito ever. And we for have AC. Drive a half hour south and a thousand meters down and you will be eaten but malaria and dengue are not a real concern until you go further. Nearer the equator, altitude controls the climate very much, small changes make a huge difference so any weather you want, even chilly is very proximate. If I want to laze on a tritoon, I pop over to nearby Guatapé.
Again, that doesn't mean they're a problem. In Tampa, I think I've gotten 4 or 5 mosquito bites the entire time I've lived here. My backyard is completely enclosed in a screened lanai, with the pool area and everything. We leave our patio doors and house open for vast portions of the time between October and May. Lots of areas of Tampa have a breeze from the water, and mosquitos don't have a chance. It all depends on how you live. Which is why saying an entire geography is a "dump" is really stupid.
Well the university girl I rent to is off to Greece or something, so if the stars align we should overlap. I have only been there ten days myself. My wife's brother lives in Madrid and my daughter found the apartment I bought on that trip. She has a talent for spotting property.
Its a dump. Full of Florida people. Traffic... Oh and there was a private gun show in a suite in my hotel when I was there which was very odd. Scientologists.. Very piggy cops..
Like the dead people still voting in US elections. That is just the tip of the iceberg. A judge just ruled that what Elon Musk is doing is legal. What the activist judges and extreme liberal Democrats miss is they are laying precedent cases for Elon Musk and President Donald Trump to use against them in the future. So, they are slitting their own throats out of desperation.
Yep and Miami is the same. Used to be a small Sherriff kinda town back in the day. I used to live months at a time in La Moraleja in Madrid. enjoy my brother. I'll be in the eastern part in May June.. Slovakia, Hungry etc.
We might have the makings of an ET meetup, a "Euro Trip" as it were I have to visit a friend in Croatia too, been promising for years.
Government spending in America has never reached such a level to push treasury yields, or at least I can’t think of a time when that happened. I get this narrative has made a return. This was Milton Friedman’s theory he formulated back when the US had a gold standard currency. Interestingly enough, yield were wild in those days unlike today. Regardless, this all dates back to the gold standard and doesn’t even consider the dual mandate. This is not saying if we do not hit astronomical level of spending we will push inflation and thus yields. We just aren’t there.
The biggest drivers of debt, Social Security, Medicare, and defense, have been untouchable and discretionary spending is a small fraction of the budget. Without tax reform, entitlement restructuring, or serious economic growth, spending cuts alone won’t fix the issue.
