The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

  1. Except for the one you currently recommend (Inside Edge) of course.

I believe ZAL's speaking about third party educators. Isn't Inside Edge owned by TradeMaven?

  4. A couple of observations:

    (1) Market profile can be a useful tool. I know of many profitable traders who use it as a key part of their analysis.

    (2) Volume analysis can be a useful tool. However, it is not necessarily to follow volume to be a successful intraday trader.

    (3) I don't know of any great trader who runs a trading chat room. Ask yourself the question how many great traders do you know selling their trade method to anyone for any price? None. There is a reason for that. For those that run trading rooms and allegedly trade at the same time it must be very difficult to keep your focus levels high while you have to trade and type at the same time, especially for a scalping method. Having said that, some traders who are complete newbies with no clue may find it worthwhile to join for a while as you might learn a thing or two.

    (4) One risk of any method failing is trader risk. This is when too many traders follow the same method and put trades on in similar areas eventually causing the system to fail. The probability of this happening is much higher if you buy a system or place trades based on someone else's method in a live call type scenario. Much better to develop your own method.

Comments re: your (3) Most of these mentors/gurus don't type in trades but rather call them out and who knows if they are taking those trades for themselves regardless; (4) In thinly traded markets you are correct, but in instruments like ES, you are incorrect. The sum total of retail business in the ES in any particular setup from any one chat room can't be that significant to cause a successful system to fail.

  7. Hey I have an idea! Since you keep PM'ing me and a few others asking about mentoring...how about you take TradeMaven's course! You seem to know a lot about it! Salvation for you at last my child! Good luck!

That would solve your question of how much to pay, only $400/mo plus losses and commissions!

Thanks for the suggestion, but a course of this nature is not what I have in mind. Neither are chat rooms or any call services. I am interested in a one to one arrangement; personalized service if you will.

Sorry to have bothered you with the PM. I thought you might be helpful, but I was mistaken.

  10. Just curious about your win % for market profile. For example, lets say on even risk vs reward, I have a 60% win ratio, what is yours?
