Wouldn't it be nice if it were that trivial. The reality is vote for Romney and stem the spending craziness stating with Obamacare giving a chance for this country to survive fiscally past 2016, or vote for Obama, leave Obamacare intact and watch us drive over the cliff of no-return with unsustainable spiraling debt.
Found some of these choice comments back in May of this year. The funniest one is from AK47 - someone quote it so he can see (since he refuses to engage). I know there's a good one from RCG out there, I remember reading it. I can't find it at the moment, though Someone should start a "Greatest Hits" thread.
Oh, and my favorite quote from the entire debate was from Obama: (in reference to the discussion on jobs, speaks to the moderator) "You may want to move on to another topic."
Yeah i remember back during the primaries, when alot of us had already conceded the fact that Obama was probably going to win, so people were cheering for Newt, if for nothing else, because he was going to tear a strip off Obama's ass. Then all the fanboys, like Brass, and RCG came out and said that Obama would smoke Newt in the debates and it wouldnt even be close. The fact of the matter is Obama has never been good at speaking off the cuff, he can deliver a speech like no one else, but every time he starts commenting with unprepared remarks, he isnt even close to the same guy. If Newt was out there last night, he would have put a hatchet in Obamas back.
It's quite entertaining watching these attempts at damage control. Even my democrat friends (I only have a few, mind you) came into work this morning downtrodden and depressed.
I just cant stop laughing at AK47's comment. "Romney will be the easiest debate challenge he (Obama) ever faced" ....what a laugh riot!
CNN Poll: Most watchers say Romney debate winner According to a CNN/ORC International survey conducted right after the debate, 67% of debate watchers questioned said that the Republican nominee won the faceoff, with one in four saying that President Barack Obama was victorious. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/03/cnn-poll-romney-wins-debate-by-big-margin/
The way the debate ran last night was right in Romney's wheelhouse, they didnt get into to much back and foreword banter with one guy shouting down the other, whereby it would have been more personal, it remained very controlled, with Romney simply spitting out numbers. Thats Romney's home turf. Where Romney could run into trouble in the future debates is if the debate becomes too personal with the two candidates having a 1 on 1 conversation with each other, and no moderation, like when he tripped out on the 10k bet in the republican primaries.
