THC- crying in our beer

  1. Monday's long black candlestick that broke the 200-day MAon heavy volume was enough of a warning signal. At that point you're on borrowed time. I had that same thing happen to me on MHUT last year and it cost me almost 4 points on a fucken 7.00 stock no less. Never again.

  2. Cramer having a half apology / half defensive conniption fit over his oops THC buy rec... nice followup to his short FRX call about a month ago right before the huge gap on earnings... and to put it in perfect perspective you have Gary Smith trying to defend gurus earlier this morning by saying 'they all go through terrible periods' and you just have to have 'patience' and wait for them to 'bounce back'.... d-oh!

    Geesus.

I was ready to try bottom picking this stock right before it was halted.

FWIW, I think that Perrault lost 1/2M on this one today - he is the bottom picker extraodinaire, and unless you had a line to God, I don't see how you could have seen the halt coming after the 2M print.

  4. What's his excuse for recommending TYC CNXT and NT back in Dec, right at the highs?

"Oh, I can't short stocks, oh I can't buy or sell for 5 days if I mention something on the radio , Oh my aunt has balls . . .."

Yeah, HE maybe can't but he's got minions who take the other side of everything he says on air. What a whack job.

  5. Thanks for the candor. I've always kept an eye on what many of you say when you post on ET since I joined.

I got a lesson reaffirmed here that anything can happen - even to seasoned traders.

Need to think about managing this kind of situation. Some of you have mentioned some disturbing specialist action. I'd love to know their position at the outset of the crisis. Doesn't look like much price stabilization was offered to the public here.

Reminds me of Centennial Technologies running to 14 and reopening little over 2.

In the last few minutes before the halt I was telling P2 that I couldn't believe it wasn't halted yet. When I saw NYSE freeze at 33 I bailed on my last 400 shares to an ISLD bid at 32. Saved $1600 there.

  7. fading monster moves has a similar profile to selling deep OTM options imho.
