So you block him but still read his posts. And he or others like me who you block can read them too. What's the point?
Why is he responding to this thread? He's blocked, so he can't read most of it without logging out. So he joins a thread and manufactures the story that he's got me blocked when that is patently BS. He commented solely to lie about blocking me. I own the guy. I log out to read ET. I login to respond.
I'll be,taking applications to star in the new reality show I will be producing, "Real Traders of ET"... No real experience in trading necessary.. Must love drama..
I don't know the answer to that question, of course. But I think his post was saying not that he blocked you but that he learned how good blocking is from you (with some humor). This could because you sometimes announce when you block other EliteTrader members. And gaussian may have applied that learning (ignoring is close to blocking) with For me, I have no desire or need to trade options, so I can't really thank you for helping my trading. But I do find some of your posts insightful and a lot of them entertaining. So I can thank you for that.
I have always maintained the stance that blocking people can cut you off from the occasional nugget of wisdom, thus I hate is when people block me, because those people could give out an occasional nugget. 'Tis why I also do not put people on block. So far I think I'm still under the block of smallfil. Has he given any nuggets in the 5 years he's blocked me? Heh. As for options folks like dest, my subconcious mind will tickle were I ever to get into options and come across a problem. I may have read something long ago from a poster I did not block that will "ping" in my mind and cause further research. Blocking people and not seeing the nuggets would not allow for that to happen. Like if we all blocked Discovery.com. Tragic!
I am voting Options are a hell of a lot harder than stocks to trade. Why I was stupid to think good stock trading could instantly transfer to options was arrogance and ignorance. Reading his option posts over the years pushed me to learn more and become better at seeing the bigger picture. He’s pretty awesome but tolerates few fools and fake gurus!
