Thank you tea party

  1. If indies, you know the ones that put President Obama in office, think this thing can get off the ground, then you might be really surprised.

Speaking of Perot, history has proven him to be correct. Most Indies are educated, they might just remember that and not be so fast to let go. In 1992 the MSM could still politically assassinate someone, not so today.

Its gonna be a war like no one has seen in 2012!

There are fiscally conservative democrats as well. Gay rights, abortion, all of that stuff is now on the back burner. If we do a double dip, Obama will be gone, and the masses will still have the smell of Bush the Younger in their nostrils.

Remember that Bush the Younger was so odious to the electorate that America threw out the color line, en masse. What happens if they recognize, "hey if color doesn't matter, why does (D) or (R)?

Im telling you all that needs to happen is for them to find a candidate who is fiscally conservative that does not frequent prostitutes, and both parties could end up quite shocked.

  2. The Real Tea Party has begun, the Revolution is now a hot war. It will be interesting to see how FOX and MSNBC will reconcile all the hit pieces on the Tea Party. The most leftist and most right wing, together, against a common foe!:D :D

Imagine: Rush gets off the air, goes into a room and there sit Hannity, Maddow, Olbermann and Beck, organizing to bring the people as many divisions as they can possibly think of!:) :)

Don't underestimate the capacity of Democrats to shoot on their own foot.

  5. This is a very odd posting.
You do realize the Tea Party is as far right as it gets, which considering the country's been moving further and further to the right for the past 30 years is saying something? In Florida, for instance, you have Meeks, Crist in the middle, and Rubio over on the right.
As you would expect when extremism, which is all the Tea Party is about, is in vogue, the man in the middle is getting creamed.
Anyway, this year, up to the 2012 election, is the equivalent of 1966 - 1968 for the right. Enjoy it while you can, it won't last long.

you can delude yourself into thinking that its not ready for prime time, but this bodes ill for both parties and will eventually redefine the political landscape in this country for decades to come.

  8. Definitely, your fellow Cons agree.

The real action in this election cycle was in the Republican primaries, they are almost over, and we already know who won: (drum roll, please!) President Obama. American conservatives have suffered a crushing and lasting defeat. The center of gravity in American politics has shifted permanently and irreversibly to the left (and conservative ideology will eventually follow).

The saddest thing is that this conservative calamity is mostly self-inflicted. More and more conservatives get Oprah-cized (one of their favorite leaders, Sarah Palin, is sometimes called “the conservative Oprah”, and in my humble opinion Glenn Beck deserves that title too). They now believe that expressing their feelings (e.g. by nominating quixotic candidates) is more important than trying to influence government policies (e.g. by nominating viable candidates). They withdraw from practical politics and instead join a protest movement.

Couple of years ago I was at restaurant on upper West Side and sitting at the same table enjoying a meal were Anne Coulter and Rachel Maddow.

What they do is all about ratings and sales.

  10. ah, I find that hard to believe, I think you had one too many drinks!

This is what Rachel once said about Coulter.

"I know that Ann Coulter needs publicity in the same way that a tapeworm needs a large intestine. This is the environment that makes it possible for her to continue to make a living doing what she does."
