As good as IB is as a broker, their marketing department is the strangest I've ever encountered. The metrics they use for campaign performance are ridiculous and their expectations are totally unrealistic. They are unwilling to deploy any manpower whatsoever for interacting with real customers here on our forums which is why you don't see anyone from IB here addressing the myriad of problems that real users are bringing up every day. It's sad really because they could be so much better than what they currently are.
Interesting, thanks. However in IB's defense (I have no affiliation except as a customer), many threads amount to "I want Cadillac service for a Chevy price."
maybe there are with compliances issues maybe they are fed up with elementary questions by lazy posters who don't or are incapable of doing a search on their website and/or contacting customer service.
1. We provide tools for sponsors for compliance, so it's definitely not that. 2. Question quality has never been brought up even once as being an issue.
Def and one other IB representative used to respond on here, but I haven't seen them in quite awhile. I had a good experience with them when I had an issue. They replied to me and helped resolve the problem.
Correct, that interaction happened when IB was a sponsor of this site. I put no blame on the employees that participated here. It's IB management that decided to change the course.
I'm seeing my coverage in Greenwich next week. I'll discreetly ask them to reconsider. Definitely is good having them in the mix.
