A report I read today detailed some major trophy properties in NYC that will probably be sold for a song to ease some of the debt of the Dubai sovereign fund, notably the Essex House and the Barney's retail stores/chains. The fear is that other sovereign funds may start facing similar a credit demand/squeeze that Dubai is facing. This may make things interesting for the rest of the year.
