    Hi
can anyone recommend a good text to speech engine. I currently use the build-in voices in XP, but they have limited functionality (for example, i would like to train the engine to pronounce stock market related words in special ways (such as SES pronounced S...E...C and not as in secondary)

  3. i use readplease 2003, and i know what you're talking about. in order to get it to pronounce acronyms or tickers as hard vowels, i had to trick it by spelling some things phonetically. for example, "SES" may come out right as "S EE S"

  4. Have you tried using your own voice in wav.files....that would be kewl...
