  1. Hello Scataphagos,

Why does NQ price moves faster than ES price?

  2. It's not that the ES is specifically "something great"... it's just the "general marketplace"... with lots of liquidity and comparative low "cost of transaction."

  3. The index value of the NQ is higher as is its "relative volatility". The NQ is $20/point = $360K/contract currently. The ES is $50/point = $250K/contract. They mostly move in tandem, though not at the same magnitude.

  5. Yes, I love ES and starting to like NQ too. Both are good.

  6. The volume in the NQ is much lower than the ES. If you're trading "size", you're almost forced to trade the ES. That is... if you wanted to trade a 100 lot in the NQ, you'd have to sweep lots of prices, with lots of slippage. You could do 100 lot in ES with zero-to-1 tick partial slippage.

  7. Thank you for that response.

Big Size is what I am trying to trade. I better stick to ES, I like them both.

    Question for you.

Have you seen anyone trade 100 ES contracts before? Did the order get filled quickly?

  8. You can reference the DOM. It shows how many resting orders there are at various tics. Little if any slippage on a 100-lot order for the ES at most times. I can recall times when the Bid/Ask resting orders were in the thousands. (I can also recall the "early days", when the entire DOM of 10 prices was less than 10 contracts total! That's when trading was on a 56k modem. LOL.)

  9. Great information. Ok, I will look at the DOM and see how many orders are being placed.

Whoever placing these orders must feel good about being very Rich.
