Those credits are not a flaw, they are integrated in Tesla’s strategy and it still has about 10 years worth of credits. It certainly is a tough market to break into but Tesla has succeeded, selling 2 of the top 3 luxury brand models in the world, with its 3 and Y models. Tesla quarterly revenues is growing significantly and is expected to meet Q3 and Q4 projections. Do you really believe Tesla has topped?
Competition is growing much faster and is already deluding Tesla's marketshare. For Tesla everything that makes money is considered part of the business model. So the past 10 years Tesla only made money from emission rights and speculating on crypto's. The last 10 years they were not able to produce any cars without losing money. FCA will not buy any emission rights from Tesla anymore as it is now part of Stellantis. So sales of emission right will go down hundreds of millions. Tesla's fast growing business is not putting owners in its Model S and Model 3. It is selling emission rights. According to Fortune that might become a problem as emission rights have peaked and will begin to slide down vanishing in a few years. At that moment Tesla will lose it sole profitable business and will only produce cars with a loss. Like they already do for over 10 years. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4411931-tesla-is-losing-market-share-in-every-major-car-market I think that 8 or 9 out of the last 10 years, Tesla never meet their projections. Whether Tesla has topped or not, I don't know. The markets are not rational, so anything is possible. But Tesla will lose a lot of their potential to the competitors, and it will also lose marketshare. Tesla sales down 10%,VW up 243% in Europe.
Title suggests that Tesla peaked. I assume the peak is 900. I expect Tesla to hit 900 again this year....
That should happen before the markets realize that the competition is eating big parts of Tesla's future. The clock is ticking...
I already replied with my thoughts on Tesla’s competition a few posts earlier. If Tesla hits 900 again this year, I believe it will break 1000 in 2022, with perhaps another split.
Tesla also does this https://electrek.co/2021/07/13/tesla-solar-roof-against-hail-storm/ and that https://electrek.co/2021/07/13/tesla-4680-battery-cell-lg-samsung-sample-cells-eye-big-contract/
I wasn't going to let this one slide and thought it be best to avoid articles and stick to facts, so here it is. I don't doubts the naysayers will find one reason or another to believe Tesla has topped, but it's not today: The spreadsheet was taken from Rob Maurer's Tesla Daily on YouTube. So, thank you Rob for the detailed work.
